Ockenden & Hemming

We bought a pair of lovely diamond earrings less than a month ago together with a bed side table clock, of which the clock loses time even with a new battery. Just been into the shop today and asked for the clock to be swooped over because of the issue even with a new battery - to which the owner said he won’t replace it unless we had the guarantee card to send the clock back to Seiko. I had the receipt to prove the purchase of over £1700 which I believe is all you need under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, but he refused and we walked out losing what could’ve been a very valuable customer.... Never again!!! Avoid at all costs if you want any form of great service - they won’t be in business for much longer if they treat all their customers in the same way.

Went here on recommendation from a friend. I collected a ring I had re-sized and repaired - very impressed with service and costs. It's an old ring and therefore needed a fair bit of work on it to bring it back up to look like new which the jeweller did. Spoke to the jeweller at length about what I wanted and also took his advice on-board. I am a firm believer in using local and independant and knowing that my item was staying on site for the full repair pleased me. Not many places left like this on the High St. This place gets my vote. Will return with other items when they need a bit of TLC too.

Fantastic work! Thank you so much for the repair job you did on my engagement ring! I made the mistake of taking my ring to the other goldsmiths in Wimborne and they made such an awful hash of my ring. I was so happy with how well this place restored it. I recommend 100%

I recently wanted to replace my gold half eternity ring for a platinum one and couldn't find quite what I wanted off the shelf. At Ockenden & Hemming all my requirements were discussed and considered. The different metals were carefully explained and suitable rubies and diamonds were sourced. I was notified before the ring was made up so I could confirm it was what I wanted. I now have a beautiful ring made entirely to my specifications and I am delighted. I am so happy I have now left another ring to be altered. Thank you so much.

Lovely Jeweller, made a gorgeous new ring for me, has some lovely pieces in the shop, very friendly, good prices, staff also very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend. After bring involved in a serious dog biting incident, A & E had to cut off my eternity ring which not only had huge obvious sentimental value but also was special as we bought it in our favourite holiday spot in Kos. It has an intricate design in white gold on the front and unfortunately the cut went right through it. Also my knuckle on that finger is now deformed. O & H were able to almost invisibly repair the damage and resize the ring and all for a very reasonable price in only a week..we use these guys all the time, HIGHLY recommend!

Lovely staff who go out of their way to make sure you are happy. Quoted half the price of another local jeweller for the same service and take great care! Very pleased with them.
