Smart Dental Care - Lisburn Dental Centre

A great Dental experience, 1 root canal and 2 fillings completed very quickly and with no pain at all, fantastic team who made me welcome and were very freindly. Everything explained in advance and completed with care. I have registered with this practice , and my wife is going to go the same way.

I have just been informed that our (3 people) dental checkups have been cancelled once again.Our original 6 month appointment was scheduled for 16 August, but was cancelled on Tuesday the 15th of August, as reportedly the dentist had to return to Poland due to a family emergency. This is of course understandable but somewhat troublesome. However, following up for this became something of a nightmare.At the time of cancellation we were instructed that we had to make contact with the office ourselves the following week to reschedule our appointments. Such action in itself was difficult as there was often no-one answering calls, nor was anyone returning voicemails left, likewise no one was responding to enquiries made via the online contact form for Smart Dental, and often the prerecorded message stated that office had to close early for some reason.After numerous attempts at contact, eventually we were given new appointments for our check ups on 25 October. Yet, now we have to wait until someone at the Lisburn Branch makes contact (which I have no faith will actually transpire) to arrange another appointment for us all.Have you no dental staff left at all?I am genuinely asking, because I really don't understand how you can otherwise explain your repeated cancellations, particularly as you are cancelling appointments more than three weeks in advance of the appointment date. Should we be looking for dental care elsewhere at this stage? It truly seems that we can expect to have appointment scheduled in December or even next year, provided of course that we manage to make contact with the office, in order to have an appointment scheduled with your Lisburn branch. This seems far from acceptable to me.Additionally, I have attempted to inform you numerous times that you have the contact details for myself and my granddaughter incorrectly recorded on your files. You routinely send me text messages with my granddaughter's name and appointment time, instead of sending them to her mother, while my appointment details are being forwarded to my daughter instead of myself.At this point, I have a lack of confidence in your medical or administrative practices at the Lisburn establishment despite myself and my daughter having been registered patients on your books for more than 10 years!Far more emphasis is placed on securing private patients that ensuring the dental care of those of use without exorbitant means or need of privately created and fitted veneers!!

The friendliest and most welcoming staff I have ever experienced in a dentist. I have to say the women in here actually made my day due to how lovely and kind they were. Especially the dentist herself. Would definitely recommend this dentist to anyone especially someone that may not find it easy in crowded spaces or may be quite reserved. Lovley staff and brilliant environment.

Avoid! Could not recommend. Cancelled all our appointments in May with a few weeks notice, finally (after numerous phone calls to find they’re closed again or phones off the line) we got appointments secured for October only for them to be cancelled a few days in advance. Text to say not to contact them, that they will be in touch for rebooking - still no word. To top it off they’re never open or at least the lines are closed and saying they aren’t open, so you can’t even get an explanation or an appointment booked anyway.

I've been with this dental clinic for 5 years and never had any issues until last November when my appointment was cancelled and moved to January 2023 with no reason given. In January I got a text cancelling my appointment again with a promise that someone would call me in February to offer me another appointment. It's now May 2023 and I'm still waiting. It's now a year since I seen a Dentist and anytime I've phoned, if someone even answers, I've been told now for 3 months that a new dentist is due to start and they will call me. The past 2 weeks, nobody even bothers picking up the phone at all.Time to find a new practice, this one is clearly having severe service issues, but come on, how hard is it to keep your patients updated and let us know what's going on! The lack of transparency is appalling.

Absolutely brilliant dental practice with exceptional staff. Receptionist is super lovely, helpful and reassuring. It felt like I was valued rather than just another statistic passing through. I didn't think I'd ever come out of a dentist so happy after getting a tooth removed. The dentist is first class, treatment was excellent. I can't recommend this practice enough. The dentist fitted me in after the normal closing time because he wanted to get the tooth out asap and that meant they didn't get out until 2 hours after closing. You don't often get commitment and treatment like that!

Fantastic experience at Smart Dental. I would be a nervous patient due to bad previous experience, however Shermaine kept me comfortable, relaxed and informed throughout my entire appointment. A credit to your team.

No NHS dentist working at the practice. Only cash no card machine - strange!!!

If I could leave ZERO stars I would....On behalf of existing patient currently waiting on a refund for treatment that was unsuccessful and poorly executed. As a result the dentist that was treating me referred me to another private clinic at my own expense. It was agreed that the treatment that was unsuccessful and the treatment subsequently not carried out would be refunded. Months later I'm still waiting!! I have contacted the Lisburn clinic on numerous occasions but get absolutely nowhere; they won't even provide me with the area sales managers contact details. If I don't get an answer within 14 days I will have no option but to go down the legal route. Please acknowledge receipt of this email and send the ASM contact details as a matter of urgency. I look forward to your timely response.

Please note. This practice is only private now. Even though I've been with them for over 5 years for NHS treatment I was informed I'd have to go to Ballymena. Changing my dentist now
