Very basic , but what do you expect and the parking is terrible it is all for prison staff and beware of the traffic warden she is very very kean.

A lot of security, just as strict as at the airport. Visiting was two hours but passed very quick.

Under the current difficult climate with covid, the centre managed to secure visits for relatives to prisoners in Durham Prison. The staff were understanding, reassuring and helpful and made things much easier to cope with. Many thanks to all of those who helped me see my son yesterday, for the first time in six months. Heroes all of you.

Thiss jaiil needs to sort there system out get her majesty in there and see her jails are poorly ran the reguliotion and new rule for covid 19 have ruined the prison services it disgusting they way these prisons are treat especially due to covid 19 thees boys are humans not animals

Durham visitor centre is very clean and tidy but it is quite a walk from the prison cross a busy Main Road and it's the weather is wet you are going to go into the prison soaking there also is no parking you have to walk down a long Hill to park 80 pence for half an hour quite expensive
