Co-op Food - Tang Hall Lane
The new refitted shop is much better for staff and customers. However for those of us interested in buying healthy, organic produce there is still nothing to make the shop inviting. It's also disappointing that plastic bottles eg for mineral water, are the only kind available. Surely an ethical retailer would want to prioritise glass and reduce plastic?

More than oncen ow have I seen members of staff at the cash register attending customers with his face mask hanging from one ear. Can be avoided using the self-service, but makes you wonder how serious they truly are about covid :/

Good selection but the door shows opening times as 7am-11pm but it's been shut most days around 10 if I've tried to stop by after work

The loveliest of staff, obvious expense for a convenience shop but some great deals. Reductions not done as quick as the one on Hull Road and feel after refurb a lot of the usual stuff we bought or needed has stopped being sold. The refurbishment does look really good and opening hours are fantastic though

Great convenience and well placed shop, free cash machine and post office inside where you can get cash out as well. In store bakery, costa coffee station, fresh fruit, veg and flowers, selection of sweet baked goods and a fair selection of pharmacy products for when Boots next door is closed (after 6pm weekdays, 1pm Sat, all day Sun).I wanted some fresh bread for my dinner and was going to go to Thomas the baker but I thought I'd give the Co-op a chance and I'm glad I did! You could tell the bread was cooked fresh today, the crust of the rustic rolls and the mini baguette was crispy and the crumb was soft and fluffy, as good as you could ask for from a store bakery, I'll definitely be buying bread there again!

Same as hull road I do most of my shopping at these two premises as I know what I want and can find it easier than shops that keep swapping everything round to make you spend more by searching for what you actually want

Great little shop, prefer it to the bigger one.Professional and attentive staff, clean, well stocked. Said to be expensive, but get a Co-op card and buy their own branded goods and you get money back on your shop, plus a donation to a charity of your choice at no cost to you. Win win situation
