Wonderful cozy real ale pub that’s dog friendly.Lovely friendly staff and locals. Great range of beers and other drinks too. You can sit in one upstairs and there are a few tables out the front too.Would definitely recommend if you want to visit some good proper beer pubs. Make it a pub crawl and go to the smiths tavern and house of beers too.Will definitely visit again soon.

Excellent little Micropub with a varied selection of beer, both cask and keg. First place I've had Titanic Plum Porter out of the latter too. Friendly staff and locals. Looks like a nice place to have a gin or ten too!

Lovely micro pub. Great staff and equally great selections of beer wines and spirits (rum whiskey and gins especially). The pub is full of quality memorabilia and there is a large seating area on the first floor. All in all Ashbournes crown jewel fit for a Queen.

Had a buffet for an arranged gathering which was very nice. Live singer was on part way through the night and was good. Nice to be able to spread out throughout the pub as it was warm. Well looked after by Kerry and the team.

Cosy pub with good beer kept very well - three local ales on tap. Could do with a few more soft drink options for the driver. Larger seating area upstairs. One of the few pubs in town with any customers when we visited (Tuesday evening)
