Swaythling Post Office

Had a parcel taken here by parcel force, checked the post office opening time, clearly states 9pm, so at 7:30 I take the 5min drive, to be met with 2 staff members quite obviously behind the post office glass who completely ignore me tapping on the window, I the see a staff member who actually wished to assist me, she spoke to the staff behind the glass, and I was told they where closed, and to come back before 5!If I was at home before 5, I wouldn't need to come to your grotty shop to collect my parcel would I, as like most of the nation I work til 5/6 pm, so I am unable to be at home! Also informed them they should update the google page! Poor poor customer service

Each time I visit this post office, whether it is for work or personal use, I am met with rudeness, disinterest and poor service.The shop itself is grubby and over stocked. I always leave feeling as if I have inconvenienced the staff in some way, yet have only ever wished to post an item.The way the sop is arranged means you often have to queue for ages only to be told I can only pay for certain postal related goods (padded envelopes etc...) at another till, fairpoint, however, you have to wait in the post office queue to reach said items which is totally illogical when there are more than two customers present. Poorly organised to say the least.Do avoid!

The staff are excellent. I live in Australia and sent a parcel to my mother and she was not in so was redirected here. The owners took it to her house themselves so she would get it in time for Christmas as she is not able bodied and could not get to the Post Office. What great spirit and commitment. Thank you very much indeed.

Person at the counter came up with an arbitrary ruling that I had to print out a form and bring it to the post office before I could get proof of postage for my parcels. in all my life with each time I have gone to any post office I have never been asked to do such a thing. the person at the counter was really up their own arse acting like she was right yet this time was the only time such a ruling came up. Makes me wish I could get to town during this time to use a self service checkout for my post. would have saved a lot of hassle. The load of them at that post office are absolutely awful. Don't go.

Avoid at all costs. Ordered travel money through the post office to be collected here. It turns out they are providing inaccurate times for when the post office counter is actually open. They were extremely unapologetic when I showed the email showing that my money should be available for collection, then ignored me and started serving the person behind while I was still asking questions. This is not the first time we have had rude and inept service here. I am now out of pocket by a sizeable sum.

Staff that don't know really what they're doing, which is fine, I wouldn't expect them to know every form, but to be rude in doing so isn't fine and to then not give me back my stuff when asked in order to keep me there to try and give an explanation as to why they don't know what they're doing after being called out also isn't acceptable. If someone has been told after 15+ minutes of messing around that they cant be helped and they've asked for their forms back so they can leave the shop, keeping them is only going to antagonise the situation isn't it? Wish I'd read reviews before attempting this. I can confirm they're very rude.Edit: Went to a proper post office the next day and they had it sorted for me in 2 minutes, no exaggeration.

Every time that I visit this Post Office and I am greeted by real people who treat you as equals. The service is excellent, never had an issue in 4 years of regular use.Thumbs up. Glad to have this service so close to home. Thanks team!

Clearly states open until 9.00pmI arrived at 5.59pm to be told they were closed.I pointed out you are meant to be open until 9pmCashier says no we are closed.I offered him my collection card for my parcel he refused to help.AvoidReply below is rubbish. I was at the main till point , and staff refused to acknowledge or except collection card.
