The Yard Recycling Centre
Beware. Horrible men run this place. Called them once based on an add have on gumtree and they were rude and offensive for no reason. I had the phone hung up on me for asking a general question. I called back thinking it was a mistake and was told I'm wasting their time. I was unobtrusive and polite and basically feel my duty to warn anyone considering going there. Its about ethics at the end of the day. Guys! you sell old junk, ppl are gonna ask you questions-dont like it then do a non public facing role! Oh you might as well ignore their cocky response they''ll most probably add below- they are the ones likely to lie to save face. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Very helpful and friendly staff and stock all well laid out. I bought wooden floorboards, insulation board and a Victorian chimney pot at a very reasonable price. Will definitely visit again, even though it's 30 miles away.

Super helpful staff great products and prices they use cash not cards! I have used them for a number of years and they are always my first port of call for framing timber and Ply they even cut down framing wood for me to fit in my tiny van

Great place, the items they sell are great value, prices are amazing and the staff.....knowledgeable and very very helpful.Felt welcomed and left happy with what a brought.Highly recommended for doors, wood, windows sinks etc at a fraction of the retail.Thank you.I shall be returning.

I went yesterday with a bag full of old wires as I new there was copper in them and copper is in demand. Got myself £7 cash for it. Better than chucking them in the bin. Helpful chap the owner. Definitely go there again with something.

Not particularly friendly, nor very helpful. But I see other reviews are more positive, so I guess I must have caught them on a bad day or at a busy time. At least they had what I wanted and at a decent price.

I had the best customer experience here I’ve had in a long time. Tony was extremely helpful when we enquired about buying a new door, he spent a lot of time explaining the type of door that would be suitable for us , and even though they didn’t sell panels, he took time to describe how best to chose a panel for the door we have.We learnt a lot and I will definitely be recommending The Yard to friends and family.There was a lot of choices between good quality new and second hand doors.Thank you Tony for the excellent service and leaving a great lasting impression.
