Taff's Well Thermal Spring
Great history of the place but awfully presented as an exhibit or place of interest. There was a special open day today that was only mildly amusing for less that 10 minutes. There was meant to be a presentation of some sort that never happened in all the time we waited. There was no way to tell who was staff and was not. To say it was very disappointing would be quite an understatement.

Lovely park surrounding the spring, however it is often shut and you cannot see inside. Some restoration was previously done and signs give good information about the history of the area.

Taff's Well Thermal Spring
Came here today after a stroll in the area. We came across this accidentally and didn’t even know this existed. Unfortunately the gate was shut as the thermal spring is surrounded by a stone house! There is a gap in one of the windows so I was able to see in. To be honest it was dark and didn’t smell too pleasant but I can see the attraction and it was worth visiting. I think we came out side open hours. Still worth a look!

The spring itself is not normaly open to the Public! although it is within Taff's Well Park (Public Park) it is framed as a Themal Spar in mid to late 1800's it is the only Thermal Spring in wales (Read wikipedia) it once used to a Lido later a Children's Paddling Pool but the Council closed it saying it was Contaminated and not safe for children to Bathe in! or maybe just to save money on insurance and staf!Note: approximately 10 minute Half Mile walk North along the A4054 from Taffs Well Railway StationNext to the Park is the Taffs Well Inn for sustenance of one type or another

Went there on Bank Holiday Monday and the door was locked. Kids were a little deflated after me building them up. No opening times listed either. Maybe worth taking the tourist signs down in the village if it's condemned....

Fantastic history. Great to see the surrounding area restored to natural beauty. It’s such a shame that the council can’t fund the opening of the well full time, the only thermal spring in wales with natural healing properties dating back to medieval times

Taff's Well Thermal Spring
This is the only hot thermal spring in Wales, it emerges 30 metres on the east bank of the very cold river Taff at about 22°,the not really much to see, its a bit of a curiosity really, however one can only wonder at this natural phenomenom. The water apparently, fell as rain 10,000 years ago, and for some reason rises here, heated by the volcanic forces of the earth...fascinating stuff
