I expect that if you live in the area you like coming here. The owner seems to know his customers. If you come here as a stranger you might tend to walk through at first. At least if you go here for a fancy diner based on the positive reviews score. The establishment looks small and simple. Not like a ‘fancy diner’ restaurant. But don't let that stop you. Walk in here. And be positively surprised. The owner comes up to you and (my impression) has a nice dish to sell you that suits you. making money doesn’t seems to be the owner's main motive but quality of food, fair treatment and customer focus. How wonderful. I wish I did live near here. Then I would also be someone who the owner would know if I walked in ;).Ow I almost forget: the food was excellent!@Owner:Thanks for the great treatment, the delicious food, and making my colleague like real lamb while he doesn't like it. Hope to visit again.

Decor and atmosphere is not Good enough. Poor customer service and don’t care attitude. We ordered 3 biryani all was tasted sour full of lemon juice. Garlic Nan was missing garlic. Customer can enter to kitchen for using toilet kind of not acceptable. Not recommended.

Let's start with the positives: the food itself was nice - a couple of the dishes (e.g. Chicken tikka and bhindi) were outstanding - very traditional Pakistani cooking. But not worth that kind of wait and poor service. Also, note that it is bring your own booze for those who drink, which has its advantages.Sadly the place is let down by the shockingly poor dinner last night. Our group arrived at 8pm, the waitress waited ages to take drinks orders and then even longer to bring then. We then had to ask multiple times for 20 minutes until our starter order was taken. Then the chef patron came out 20 minutes after that to reconfirm what the waitress had written down and said okay now I'll start cooking them". So no food

The best place to go if you're looking for an authentic desi food and homely vibes. The place is just brimming with immaculate vibes from soft old hindi songs playing in the background to aroma of food cooking in the kitchen to heart warming hospitality of hosts, it is everything you are looking for. I go here twice (sometimes more) in a week, genuinely feels like home away from home. Their delicious chicken biryani along with Rizwan uncle + Lajja aunty's gupshup & dance and to end with desi coffee with chocolate on top ahhh just makes my day!

Currydor is a wonderful discovery, out of the centre of Oxford, off the Botley Road,, that specialises in fresh-cooked warm-spiced food, in authentic style, with an extra mix of warm-hearted people. It's a family business where now many locals come to enjoy the extended family vibe. But be careful! I came once 5 years ago, and got addicted, coming in, at least twice a month, since then!. On weekends many diverse faces from across Asia to enjoy the cuisine, as do many Europeans. I call it 'the warm heart of Oxford. A great stop for tourists. A second home for some. Because the food is cooked fresh

What a lovely experience. The food is of the highest quality and taste of any curry place in Oxford. This is achieved through the diligent nature of the host. We booked a table for 8 and each person was consulted on their preferences for the items ordered. If you are going to eat in do book as it has limited space. But takeaways are an option. If eating in and you want a drink bring your own as alcoholic drinks are not available. Would definitely eat here again when in Oxford.

This restaurant is home away from home for many like me. Extremely delicious, authentic desi food laced with the love of a wonderful family that owns this place. Highly recommended for a treat of the taste buds but more importantly, for basking in the love you've only known at home!

worst indian food I have had . I ordered samosa and chole bhature from this place both of them were disappointing. Filling of the samosa was not even cooked properly . Bhature were cold and very thick . Chole was the most disgusting food item i have seen .

Been coming here for years in a big group as a birthday tradition for one of my friends. The owner is always incredibly accommodating (even popped the rugby on for us once when we were the only ones dining in!) and the food is actually unreal. 11/10

Went to Currydor one evening during my few days stay in Oxford. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very homely. The food was excellent as where the family members running the restaurant.
