The Old Rectory
Rumani is an excellent hostess; charming and professional. Our room, Annette’s,, was lovely with a huge and modern bathroom. Breakfasts were excellent. There is no ground floor accomodation so be prepared for a staircase. There is also no common room, but that did not bother us. The building is located a few yards from a nice park, and is a short walk, about ten minutes, to the shops and restaurants. We were allowed to park in the owners driveway, otherwise on-street parking is necessary. If returning to Salisbury we would certainly wish to restart here.

A lovely nights stay in a great b&b. We had a lovely big bed, followed by an excellent big breakfast in the morning. There was a great selection of fruit and cereal as well as the cooked options. They have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable.

We had such a lovely stay at the Old Rectory. Such a nice family run place to stay. Ruwani and her family plus the two beautiful Labradors make sure you have a special welcome. The room is nicely decorated, spacious and clean. TV and selection of channels was good. Kettle and a good selection of teas, coffees Borders biscuits etc. The bathroom has a great walk in shower with two head options and an amazing selection of shower gels. The bed and pillows are super comfortable; we had a great nights sleep. Would like to get that bed in our home!Breakfast was so nice and such a lovely selection of food to choose from. There was a full English breakfast as well as a huge variety of hot food options. We went for the omelette which I can highly recommend. Lot’s of cereal, yogurt and a wonderful selection of fruit. Cafetière Coffee was really nice and the a good selection of other drinks. It was my wife’s birthday and even the table was decorated making it very special.I was a little nervous about how the parking would work out but it was fine. It’s a great location and it’s a short nice walk into Salisbury city. We enjoyed an evening stroll discovering the lovely buildings and seeing the Cathedral in a different light.A real treat. Thank you

The Old Rectory
Superb. At hotel prices for a B and B. But immaculate and five stars. No issues at all. Charming host and cook Rani. Every detail taken care of , from a silent fridge in the room to a wonderful selection of shampoos and conditioners. Gorgeous walk in shower. Comfortable bed. Small details count. Good WiFi. Faultless. Reccomended

Definitely I would recommend the old rectory. Since the first email I exchanged with them I knew it would be lovely.Simon picked me up from the train station and gave me all the information I needed. Ruwani cooked a nice breakfast and gave me some advice too. They both are very friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect, less than 10 minutes walk from the main market square, plenty of restaurants and takeaways on the way and some of them offer 10% discount to the old rectory guests. The room has everything you need and it is a good dice with a soft bed to lie down. Bathroom big enough and plenty of toiletries.

I wish I could give more stars! What an excellent stay we had. Beautiful, super clean and lovley furnished room. Great and comfy bed. The bathroom was very big and very modern. A great supply of shampoo and shower gel.Above all I had the best breakfast here. From 8 options of fresh fruit and quality cereals to the choices you could make for a warm breakfast. I loved the pancakes and my dad chose the filled omelet every day. You just know guests are more than welcome. I wish we could have stayed longer. The guesthouse is also very close to the centre but far enough away for a good night's sleep. In 6-7 minutes time walking you reach excellent restaurants.

This is an absolute gem of a place!Ruwani and her husband run this B&B with only 2 rooms in a manner that makes you feel like part of the family.Ruwani was so nice and friendly from the very beginning when making the booking and throughout our stay! Our room was very spacious (with a huge bathroom and a shower at least twice the size of what one usually finds!), extremely clean and tastefully decorated. Very comfy bed, which is probably not surprising considering that Ruwani's husband works in the bedding industry. There is so much attention to detail, which is also reflected in the great breakfast she serves, with an amazing presentation. We were able to park our car right in front of the house, which was an added bonus. And the place is within very easy walking distance of the centre of Salisbury, making it an ideal place to explore the city. Thanks Ruwani, for making us feel so welcome!

We loved our room at the Old Rectory: it was large and airy and beautifully furnished. The bathroom was very well stocked with toiletries and towels and also gave lots of space.Ruwani was a very welcoming host and provided a wonderful breakfast with a tremendous variety of fresh fruit as well as a hearty cooked breakfast. The premises are ideally located within very easy walking distance of central Salisbury whilst still being quiet.Care was taken to ensure compliance with all Covid guidelines such that we felt very comfortable during our stay. This was a great find! Thoroughly recommended!
