Musselburgh Links, The Old Golf Course

I love this course, all the links subtleties that makes playing these courses so special and addictive.

Great condition, good greens and a test for all levels of golfers. Not to mention its the oldest playing golf course anywhere. A must play.

Play tbis morning tee off 09.20 in a fourball. There was a fourball behind us ,but we did not hold them up in anyway.Teeing of on.the 7th I was standing by the waiting for my turn when a golfball landed within a 2feet of me. There was no shout of four from the group behind. Asked why he did not shout his responce was yey name of mcmillan reported to clubhouse.If this is way of playing golf should not be allowed on the course.

Played with hickories this is a great challenge. Only nine holes with a clear run it's an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes. Something to remember how the game should be played.

Course in excellent condition although greens were a bit hairy needing a cut but super value for money would def return

Nice Old Fashin Golf Place inside of Musselburgh Racecourse

What an amazing way to perk up our golf vacation to the Edinburgh area. If you have the opportunity to play Old Musselburgh, snap it up. This wonderful historic gem of a golf course should not be missed. One of the oldest courses in Scotland, inside a racetrack, where the Open Championship was contested over 100 years ago....what's not to love about this? The course oozes personality and we could easily see how it must have mesmerized all of those who came to challenge it. Musselburgh Old boasts a friendly Pro Shop staff and the best Captain in all of Scotland - thanks for everything Stevie - look forward to putting a tee in the ground with you again. Maybe over on my side of the pond next time. Check out this 9 hole wonder - you won't be disappointed!

A very nice place to spend a sunny afternoon. Pace of play was great on a Saturday Afternoon, even for a single. It's not the best track in Scotland, but there is something to be said for having played the oldest course in the world. Will likely come back to play again.
