Jackson’s Animal Rescue

Jackson’s Place is a very special place to me and a lot of others! I feel this is proven by the regular support from their volunteers and generous donations from their followers. The care and love for the animals by everyone associated with the animal rescue is inspiring, my dog loves visiting the charity shops as he gets a huge fuss! No matter the unfortunate situation that the staff at Jackson’s come across, they always do the best possible thing in their power (This is rarely easy but they never give up!)Overall a great place full of great people doing amazing things every day!

Hedgehog hospital (I'll take a picture when I'm next there of the front of the building) volunteers always needed but if you can't, there's other opportunities to buy resources that they go through (they have an Amazon wishlist and you can donate through PayPal) visit them on Facebook and Instagram for updates etc. You can also sponsor a cage. This urgent work is carried out by a dedicated team who are well qualified and they are always full of Hedgehogs. I've just bought a hedgehog house from them for when my hog comes home. Let's help these little guys out while we still can!

I volunteer at Jackson’s and I can honestly say that the team are just amazing and they always do their very best for every animal that comes to the rescue. As volunteers we get first class training and it’s a wonderful place to volunteer. The owners are extremely caring and will often take sick animals that other rescues have said no to. Amazing place!

Absolutely brilliant care for 2 unwell hedgehogs rescued from our garden. Really know their stuff and were extremely helpful. The photo is of one of the hogs successfully released back into the wild, and eating well!

I volunteer at Jackson's Place and can absolutely guarantee that the animals in their care are totally looked after and cared for and loved. They have heartbreaking cases to deal with and yet still give everything. The enclosures are clean, the animals are well fed and come on in leaps and bounds. Keep up the amazing work x

Collected and brought to the rescue a hedgehog that had been contained and suspected poorly. They were friendly and efficient. Clearly, we can be seen the care they have for all creatures. For me it could be better signed for where to drop off the rescues though staff around in the other buildings were happy to help.

The best animal rescue in the north west. I have been volunteering here for a few months now and am amazed at the hard work they do. The efforts they go to to help animals is beyond! Not only that, the way they help educate owners and members of the public of how to take care of our pets and wildlife is fantastic. They run a tight ship at Jacksons to make sure every animal is looked after to the highest standard. I would only ever recommend Jacksons.

Excellent rescue centre. Adopted two lovely ferrets from them who are very much an important part of our family and have since joined their volunteering scheme with my partner. The site is great and it's so lovely to see all the animals being cared for and the constant improvements that take place.

Having just been made aware of the negative reviews being made by person/persons unknown to Jackson's I feel compelled to leave a review myself.I was familiar with the Mold location when it was run by the previous charity which I will not name, and the negative reviews received today appear to be reflective of that charity rather than Jackson's, who have been on the site since 2020.The improvements that Jackson's have made to the site so far are phenomenal, and they are continuing to improve on a daily basis.I've been volunteering for Jackson's for several months now, and have nothing but positive things to say about the team of staff and volunteers at both sites.Everything they do has the welfare of the animals at heart, and, unlike their predecessors, they make the volunteers very welcome and are extremely well organised, with individual instructions for each department and also instructions for any specific needs of individual animals.I'm extremely proud to be a part of the Jackson's team
