Good, fairly central base for our visit. Room comfortable, if not huge. Breakfast was fine as long as you wanted boiled or poached egg. We don't do fried" Never heard of this in my life. Did not spoil the stay

A 20 minute walk from the station but definitely worth it. The rooms are decently sized, clean and with all desired amenities. Andrew the owner is friendly and the breakfast included in the price is the best example of an English breakfast there is. Also the comforts bed of my stay so far.

Stayed 2 nights, friendly owner and staff, brilliant breakfast and the room was excellent. Only a 10 minute walk into the walled city. Would definitely stay again.

Comfy bed, friendly staff, no more than 15 minutes from Yorkminster and a nice flat screen.The full breakfast didn't really push all my buttons, but there was more than enough toast and orange juice to leave me full and ready for a day exploring the city.

Lovely Guesthouse which isn’t too far of a walk from the station if you take the cycle path across the river.Everything was satisfactory with the room and very good quality for the price we paid! Lovely breakfast with lots of options, very good that it’s included with the room.Would love to stay again next time I’m in York!

Stayed for 2 night's. Great location. Clean rooms ,very comfortable beds. And fantastic breakfast. Very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend here.

Had a very nice stay in the double non en-suite room. Cosy room and comfy bed and the toilet and bathroom were clean. Friendly staff, and a lovely full English breakfast as well as a very reasonable price.Fairly short walk into the town centre and the main station.Would definitely recommend.

Room was excellent, proprietor was very friendly and helpful. If we were coming back we'd definitely book here again. 10 minutes walk away from the city gate. Highly recommend this guesthouse.
