I had an absolute brilliant time climbing to the summit. I am preparing for Everest base camp and climb. this is part of my preparation. And I note that this is not an easy climb. You will need appropriate shoes including clothing for this. Make sure your shoes outer sole is harder to tackle the uneven surface and rocks. At one point it was rather difficult to see beyond three for meters. Map was helpful. I was able to complete in 5 1/2 hours. I will go there again on a clear Day.

It's a beautiful nature walk very near Central Cardiff. I've been a few times over the summer and enjoyed seeing the waterbirds raise their young.Bring bread for the ducks and swans if you go.

A quiet area of Cardiff Bay, with a view of the Bay from a small wooden pier.

The sculpture of Cader Idris was originally designed as a meeting place for travellers just outside Cardiff Central railway station. I liked the idea of it there. But some years ago it was moved to Cardiff Wetlands. It looks fine, but I feel it's lost its purpose in this location. The wetlands are still worth a visit though, as a place for a short casual walk and maybe to spot some wildlife.
