Mike sorted out my Fender Bassman 1200 bass amp in super quick time! New volume pot and 4 new output jacks all done in less than 24hrs - the whole amp guts had to come out for the pot too! Highly recommended

Had a Yamaha AV RX-V765 repaired. Amp would intermittently switches it's self off. Left it with Mike to test for over a week. He tested with different speakers and found that I had the Amp speaker impedance set to the wrong value. Super quick fix. Mike is honest to tell me that their was no fault, but the speaker impedance was set wrong. Paid only a very small investigation fee, happy to pay. Have tested over a few months and no problems. Mike is honest and trustworthy and very good value for money, would happily recommend to anyone.

I was lured by fantastic reviews into trusting Mike Powell with servicing my overheating ARCAM AVR850. I spoke with Mike and he advised me to bring the device in for check up asap to avoid any further issues - so I brought it to his workshop the following day.After nearly six months, consistent follow ups, updates and repair work done - including part replacements, I got a text message from Mike saying the device was unrepairable due to a burnt PCB on the main circuit board. He even suggested there was no need to reassemble the device but that didn't make any sense to me as the device was in use prior to bringing it to his workshop and the only issue was overheating. I immediately reached out to ARCAM and was advised it could be fixed at a flat rate via any of their dealers. I then called Mike and arranged to pick up the device.When I got to Mike's workshop the AVR was boxed in its original packaging. Mike asked if he could seal up the box but I noticed an eagerness to do so on his part which led me to say no. I didn't see the device power on as it was already boxed but I wasn't too bothered since I intended to at least test it again before sending off to ARCAM, having missed the beautiful ARCAM sound for so many months. I took the AVR home on a Friday and unboxed it the following day, but to my surprise it didn't power on and the front display panel didn't even light up. I then called Mike on the Monday to ask if the device was tested after reassembly which he confirmed it was and that it powered on as normal. He offered to have a quick look at it so I took it back in straight away.Back in the repair shop, before taking off the hood of the device, Mike was able to show me the burnt PCB on the main circuit board through the air vents of the top cover of the enclosed unit. At that point I began to wonder how something as glaring as that wasn't picked up upon during nearly 6months of repair work and part replacement on the bare unit. Anyway, he proceeded to open up the unit and straightaway infront of me, noticed a missed board connection. As soon as this was connected, the front display panel lit up but the device didn't complete the power on cycle and it shut itself down after a couple of seconds. I asked Mike again whether the device was tested and he doubled down and said yes it was
