The receptionist Tracey was friendly, polite and explained and helped me to sign up to the pet plan immediately. She explained what was included, the price breakdown and gave me leaflets to explain. The vet Tavi was amazing. So knowledgeable and understanding of my dog and his temperament. Knew exactly what to do and how to handle him. It was the first time I came to this practice having recently moved the area and I'm so relieved I've found such a friendly, caring practice with a vet who can help my dog Noodle.Thank you so much. Next time I won't feel so nervous to come along with my pup! :)

Highly satisfied with the vet and the reception staff! We’re very helpful. The pets at home staff at the Waterloo Huddersfield store were very poor. Ignored concerns for my pet which turned out to me correct! Will definitely visit the Leeds road store in future and not the Waterloo one.

My pets have been registered here for almost 7 years. Happy with the annual check ups and how easy it is to order and collect their flea and worm treatment every three months. They have all been fixed here and had no problems. During one of our first visits, my eldest cat soiled herself in her crate due to her nerves and the nurse was understanding, took her in the back and cleaned her up. She has not had a similar accident again which reassures me she is calmer when having to attend. They are patient with my husky who can be a stubborn character. I’m happy with both the male and female vet we’ve seen. One time, the male vet pointed out our cat had become overweight and we are grateful for his honesty as we managed to amend his diet for him to be at healthy weight again. Overall, the staff seem to be caring, helpful and non judgemental.

Companion Care - Huddersfield.I would good this practice a wide berth. The receptionists are rude and ignorant, and the ambience portrays exactly this!!They are only interested in increasing their bottom line, and could not be anymore interested in your pet even if they tried. You will never be seen in time so expect a good half wait at least.Take your pet elsewhere…….

The staff are so lovely and were brilliant in their ability to keep me calm and reassured during mine and my pets crisis. They have and are currently at the time I'm writing this taking good care of my little girl. I honestly couldn't be more thankful for the time and care they have put into looking after my pet and myself.Thank you so much again.

The vet is very helpful and is good at his job. But the receptionist are rude and not helpful at all. They are only interested in getting their money.

My wife tried to book an appointment to take our cat to the vet having had a swollen face arising from territorial disputes with neighbour’s cats. Our cat is now over 9 years old and whilst his booster was missed towards the tail end of last year, my wife and I had had covid followed shortly thereafter by the virus that swiftly did the rounds pre-Xmas. On ringing the vet at Companion Care the receptionist advised that we need to make an emergency appointment. My wife said that was not necessary but did they have an appointment the next day. They did but advised that because they hadn’t seen the cat last year, we would be paying over £117 just to attend! Clearly they thought they had an opportunity to charge the lost fee from last year! My wife stated they shouldn’t bother themselves and we would register him elsewhere. £76 later with consult and medication at Calder Vets, shows what a rip off these vets are.Won’t be returning! The last booster appointment here resulted in a 2 hour wait and then being asked to leave and rearrange! My wife insisted on waiting!

I took my old English bulldog because he had a problem with his ear. After a sort wait l saw a vet having explained the problem the vet tried to look at his ear with me helping him but no chance. So he took the dog into the back to get help with a nurse after 10 mins ish he called me me in and told me he could not get to look at his ear but give me eas wash and ear drops. How did he know that would help ? So left to pay which when the receptionis gave me the bill even she looked a bit surprised at the cost £105 wow. Could have got the same stuff of amazon for £7,50 and £12 ish

I was pleased with the way my pet and we were treated and spoken to.The friendliness was a pleasure and a very smooth visitJust the cleanliness needs to be addressed in the waiting areaAnd the reception staff should smile and respond back when saying bye when leaving.
