Spent one night in a courtyard room as a treat from my daughter. Absolutely loved it. Stunning hotel and grounds, staff where very helpful and friendly. Especially the gentleman on the door/reception, wish we had got his name. Hopefully we will be back.

Came for the spa as a treat for my mum. Absolutely incredible experience. The staff were so welcoming and attentive. The food was exceptional, and the facilities were great. Laura was so professional and was very thorough with our treatments. Would highly recommend.

We went to a wonderful 'birds of prey' event with a very filling afternoon tea. We really enjoyed strolling round the wonderful gardens. We stayed one night in a courtyard room - the courtyard is lovely. Breakfast the next morning was excellent, and the hotel lounges are very relaxing to sit in. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a delightful short break.

Middlethorpe Hall and Spa
Certainly not a 4.7-star hotel. We stayed there for two nights, WIFI did not work, rooms are old and a bit smelly, you can hear everyone talking and walking above and around you. Floors were creaking and rooms were far away from the hotel itself. If you're not driving, you have to catch a taxi into the city. Two nights cost $800 US dollars, July 2023. Their website is very misleading.

Yorks downton Abbey. Rooms are fine considering the hotel is 300 years old. What makes this place exceptional is the service and food. The location is very good also. We had a 3 course meal and it was incredible. The 20 acres of ground its set in are very pretty and there's a pool and spa toboot.

Beautiful Hall and grounds, we spotted dear past the ha-ha, the children enjoyed trying to quietly track them down. Lovely staff, very professional including the cats!

I just went for afternoon tea, was beautiful! Staff are exceptional, and the grounds are spectacular, very beautiful place.
