The platform has plenty seating and the train service is usually good however there is no notice board and therefore no information when trains are cancelled. The ticket machine is in direct sunlight during the day and impossible to see and use due to this. The station has no disabled access. It is handy for Northumbria university, the quayside and surrounding areas. It's a great spot if you like trainspotting.

Not much here. Not accessible if you have a disability. There are some seats though and bike facilities.

It may be a convenient stop with good connections, but if you propose to use this stop you need to investigate thoroughly as too few services stop here and they stop very briefly so if you fail to disembark in time you might get carried to Morpeth etc.

In desperate need of modernisation and clear direction signage.

A great place to trainspot, considering the trains go past at like 40 mph, it's a enjoyable experience.

The station is ok, it's nothing special. It has a solitary ticket machine which was very temperamental to use. It also had a single waiting shelter, but that was more than enough based on the number of people who were using the station (not many).Lots of trains pass this station, so if you're interested in train spotting this may be an ideal location for you (there are some very good angles to see the passing trains), but the station is only served by 1 stopping train an hour, so you may find it easier to use the nearby metro station. To enter and exit the station, you have to cross a very rusted footbridge. On the entrance to the station there are lots of pieces of artwork, but there isn't any signage to explain what they represent or who made them.

A decent station, bike facilities, ticket machine, shelter. Apart from toilets and information screens/announcements it doesn’t really need anything else considering the amount of trains that stop. Clear views on the southbound platforms and a curved view on the northbound. Brilliant station for trainspotting!

The best station around, staff are canny and they leave lots of cones to flip outside, would rate higher if possible!!
