I'm recommending Lee Van Blydenstein in particular. A thorough surveyor, who in a rapidly changing economic climate when typical comparables go out the window, was able to survey the home I was purchasing with evidential validation which saw me agreeing and paying a reduction on the final price by 8%. A big difference to our family which had he not intervened, would have seen us paying an unfair price which didn't take into account the falling market and the direction in which it was heading. A recommendation well overdue!

Received a quote for level 3. Quote suggested valuation report was inclusive. Once attempting to book it came to light this was not the case. I raised my concerns and Camsure accepted my concerns, agreed to change their sentence and included the valuation without the added cost. This clearly demonstrates a customer centric approach..

As first-time buyers, we engaged Camsure Home Surveys for our RICS Level 2 Home Buyer Survey Report with Valuation. Their rates were highly competitive in comparison to other providers. Despite there being no open date in our area for the next two weeks, we needed an earlier appointment due to the lender's valuation coming up short. Camsure Home Surveys told us they would try to arrange an earlier appointment if any cancellation became available. They later provided us with an earlier appointment slot, which was a tremendous help. Our survey was conducted by Mr. Allan Henderson, who did an excellent job. Every detail was reported with ratings and pictures. We highly recommend Camsure Home Surveys and their team for their exceptional service.

I would not use Camsure again. The level 3 survey seemed very comprehensive, but sadly I have been saddled with a lot of very expensive problems that if I had known about in advance I could have negotiated on price.The surveyor reported that he couldn’t fully inspect one of the roof slopes due to topography, so advised there was a risk of unseen defects. However the roof slope is visible from the garden and yes, there are defects which he would have seen if he had viewed from the garden. Even without walking down the garden you can see parts of the roof, including slipped and damaged slates at the edges. The other roof slope is readily visible, but the surveyor missed on both slopes that edge slates were not overlapping and the roof edge was not properly aligned with the gutters.The roof leaks (and actually there are clues internally if you know what to look for) and I have been told independently by 3 contractors that the whole things needs replacing (£10-15k).The surveyor reported that the conservatory appeared to be in reasonable condition. It isn’t and someone with a trained eye should have seen the faults. Estimated replacement cost upwards of £20k.The report is very heavily caveated with ‘you should get quotes/ surveys for x, y, z’ but it didn’t advise I should get full independent surveys of the roof or conservatory before purchase.The survey was very reasonably priced, but in the long run it’s going to bankrupt me.

I was very lucky to have Lee as my surveyor; this is my first survey and have only seen other example reports, so I was anticipating some daunting document to get through. However, Lee's report was exceedingly clear, concise and easy to digest. I requested a call with Lee, who actually called back the same day whilst he was about to fly off on holiday! I cannot thank you and Camsure Homes enough for your delightful customer service and quick response.I will most certainly recommend Lee and Camsure Homes in the future!

Camsure cancelled our survey less than 24 hours before due with a generic email and wanted to push it back another 3 weeks (5 weeks after receipt of instruction). Ended up going elsewhere and would recommend the sameEdit: 11/07/23The MD of Camsure rang to express his disappointment with my review. I assumed by his initial apology it would be a pleasant call, unfortunately this quickly turned hostile after I reiterated my disappointment with the experience. We paid for a full building survey with Camsure Homes. The turnaround time from the inspection to receiving the report was a couple of days and our surveyor Mat was very thorough and helped explain in detail, the various issues with the property - even sharing the relevant images to help us get quotes for potential works.As first time buyers, my partner and I were quite overwhelmed with the amount of detail in the report, but Mat helped us with any queries we had and it helped us shape a better picture of the quality of the house we were looking to buy.I would highly recommend Camsure Homes.

*Paid for the top Surveyor service, they missed woodworm off the returned documents and the next surveyor was a no show. Would not recommend.*Before we bought a home we asked Camsure to perform a survey on the house. We paid for the most expensive survey to ensure nothing was missed.When we moved into the house we noticed there was signs of old and new woodworm which was missed on the survey.We contacted our surveyor on the 10/08/23 initially about this problem. The replies were very slow but eventually they organised another Surveyor to come back and review the woodworm. We were told that the surveyor would come today between 9am-11am to review the woodworm problem that got missed. He has not shown up. Today's date is now the 10/10/23. It has taken 2 months to get another surveyor in due to Camsure's lack of response. We have had to follow up with Camsure many times to get movement on this and now I have stayed home for the Surveyor to not show up.It has not been a nice customer experience for us. We expected more, especially after paying for the top service.

Mat Cowell carried out my survey report and I am very impressed in the level of detail of the report. It’s understandable they can’t view certain areas etc. but overall excellent work and you get what you pay for. If i need a house survey in the future, I will be sure to come to camsure again for the service. Keep up the good work guys. Level 2 survey.
