This is a wonderful collection with so many recognisable old favourites like 'Bubbles' and many interesting surprises. Great sculptures- I particularly liked Leda and the Swan. A worthy rival to the Frick and the Wallace collections.

Awesome art gallery with large collection of paintings, statues and decorative art. I always pop in the gift shop and Café. Port Sunlight is one of my favourite places, and not just because I used to live there, but because it is such a beautiful village.

Excellent collection of art and artifacts collected by the Lever family in particular. Interesting information in places. Well laid out, you just need to be methodical in your visit. The fairy work was amazing, the detail in the drawings immense. Highly recommended this for any budding art student. The surrounding area is a must see too. No photos of gallery as not allowed but others provided.

Set in the beautiful village of port sunlight, it cost us £3 return on the train from liverpool, i must admit it came as a surprise just how good this gallery is. We did buy lunch here, but otherwise free entry.

Beautiful gallery, one of my favourite art galleries to visit!! Staff are wonderful and are super easy to approach if any questions were to be asked. The atmosphere is lovely, as it's not too busy but not too quiet! After visiting the gallery, I recommend visiting the Port Sunlight village itself on a sunny day!

Loved it! super friendly staff. FREE though I gave a £5 donation (worth it!). Great pre Raphaelite collection. Nice cafe. Great to visit if you are seeing Port Sunlight. Nearest station is Bebington.

So much art under one roof...and free entry too! Great interpretation, without being overbearing. You could spend hours in here...we did! We had the bonus of Christmas carols in the main hall, which for us in the festive season.

I have visited this lovely gallery a few times and have always enjoyed wandering around looking at the fabulous paintings and other treasures. It was built by Lord Lever in honour of his wife and is the second largest building in the world built as such a tribute, the first being the Taj Mahal. I was with a group this time and had arranged for a talk to be given by Fiona SlatteryClark, the Curator of Decorative Arts at National Museums Liverpool. At our request it focused on the fabulous collection of Chinese porcelain in the gallery but also included the history of the gallery and Lord Lever. A great talk and a good introduction a visit to the gallery.

A gem in the Liverpool Musuem family. The Lady Lever art gallery has some of the best examples of period furniture, paintings and statues. The highlight has to be the extensive collection of Wedgwood pottery.

Philanthropy at its best... In the whole surrounding village and environment as well in the beautiful and stunning Gallery. The cafe also provided extremely good quality dishes which were thoroughly enjoyed by all. The gift shop is beautifully dressed with some stunning gifts, reflecting and complementing Art found at many of the UK National galleries. However I found it sad that much of that on sale had been made in other places around the world and little from Artists, Designers, Workshops or Manufacturers in the UK.
