Very nice shop with friendly staff as you would expect from Waitrose.A lot of prices have gone up recently but there were some good offers available. The self service checkouts all seemed to be playing up, however it was a satisfactory visit overall. Well stocked so I got everything on the list, plus a couple of vouchers through the app.

Brilliant customer service from Fiona on the shop floor this morning (23.6.23). Although she was very busy, when I couldn't find a product she went to check in the store room and came back with exactly what I wanted. All staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable.

I take my 87 year old parents shopping every week in Waitrose Chichester. We all have lunch in the restaurant (usually spending about £30), and my mother then goes off to do the shopping, usually spending in excess of £100. My father isn't mobile so he spends the entire time in the restaurant. Last Thursday the till in the restaurant had broken so nothing could be bought. I went to Customer Services and asked if we could take the free coffees into the restaurant. I was told that I could not do this because as soon as free drinks are taken into the Restaurant it offends their VAT exemption status. I asked if she could explain what this meant but she could not. I then asked one of the Assistant Managers if an exception could be made as my father couldn't leave the cafe. He said definitely not and that people had to accept that there were times that certain things were not available, it's a way of life. He suggested that we finished our shopping and then took our drinks outside the shop. It was the hottest day of the year and there was no seating available. Fortunately free water was provided.I would like to add the the staff on the tills are all absolutely wonderful.

Used the cafe during Van service. Didn't use it but great parking. A roomy store with good choices of food. Probably the best Almond Croissant on the UK Supermarket.

Pleasant enough experience but prices too high for me, but its what Waitrose does,pander to the moneyed middle classes who think the likes of Tesco, Aldi etc are beneath them!
