Wilmington Swing Bridge
A nice remnant of the past, more than 100 years old. Used to be a busy industrial rail bridge, nowadays used only for pedestrian traffic. A nice reminder of Hull's busy industrial riverfront. I hope it will be conserved for generations to come.

Wilmington Swing Bridge
Wilmington Swing Bridge on the old hull to Withernsea railway line opened in 1854 and closed to trains in 1968. It is now only open to pedestrians and cyclists. The grade two listed, electrically operated Swing Bridge is 160 ft long. It is still maintained and and opens to allow ships to travel up the river Hull to Beverley.
