The only positive was the staff.. Well trained, friendly, yet professional.Food was mediocre at best, and therefore incredibly over priced..I was expecting exceptional food.Signage is very poor..Lighting from car park to the restaurant is near non existent.Overall, very disappointed.

I had a celebratory dinner tonight with my mum and sister and we had a perfect evening. The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious! Everyone was so welcoming, and Tom, the sommelier, in particular was great - super knowledgeable and very kindly helped us with all of our questions and gave us the best recommendations!

I have visited on several occasions and have had nothing but excellent service. Everything about this venue is perfect in its own unique way, the food is fantastic yet the ambience is relaxed enough for you to always feel at ease. I had no hesitation in booking a table for a special birthday lunch for my parents and the staff took care of them admirably, thank you so much for putting big smiles on their faces and giving them a memorable experience.

Pitched just perfectly in terms of service, food and ambience this was a really impressive meal. Friendly and knowledgeable staff who will go the extra mile to provide personable service. Fantastic flavours from the food and a B-road drinks list.

Had a lovely dinner here with friends from the US. Location is stunning. Decor is worth the trip alone. Drink menu and cocktails were very good. Dinner also. Lovely service in the dining room too.

Wow, what a stunning experience end to end. From walking in and being treated with friendly, efficient service to a delicious, clear menu and fabulous cocktail and drink options. We had a non alcoholic cocktail which can be risky but wow, it was delicious. The venue is out of this world. It's a memorable experience for all the right reasons.

Disappointed overall, sorry to say I won't be back. It was a birthday treat for my partner, although informed at time of booking no mention of the occasion by any staff member. Found the menu lacking descriptions bit vague in what the dishes are and contain. Also did not appreciate being questioned by staff on why I was not willing to pay the DISCRETIONARY" service charge

We just had a fabulous relaxing weekend here celebrating my husband's 60th birthday, the quality and attention to detail is fantastic. It's such a beautiful building, flagstone floors, lots of candlelight and wood fires. Many umbrellas and wellies for guest use, plus mini fridge, tea and coffee making in the room. Turn down service leaves a sachet of night time tea on your pillow and a bottle of water next to the bed. Lots of staff wished my husband a happy birthday at various times which was a nice touch. The food is fantastic, personally feel a side should be included with the meal but that is a small point. It was nice to see the hotel director serving food and talking to guests, great example. We hope to return and also visit another Pig in the winter.

I'd planned a very intricate and long winded stay for my wife and her family who were travelling from a long way away. With the help of Beth at the Pig at Harlyn, we spent several months finalising rooms, some with accessibility requirements along with transportation requests and so on. They even worked out a significant reduction in price for me AFTER I had paid for the rooms. Through no fault of the Pig or me, we had to cancel last minute because of one of the parents being ill. But Beth sympathetically refunded all funds and phoned to explain, without any fuss or hassle.Very impressed with the professionalism here and we will certainly re-book at a later date.
