Amazing new salon in the heart of the JQ. Super relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Nancy’s been doing my cut + colour for a few years now and always does fabulous and magical things with my hair! So excited to see her and Ant start their own salon, would highly recommend to anyone.

Beautiful salon in the Jewellery Quarter ran by two amazing hair artists. I’ve had my hair cut by Nancy for a while now and I always leave with the most perfect hair.If you are thinking of going to either Nancy or Anthony, know you are in safe hands.

Ant has been cutting my hair for several years and I am always happy with his creativity, his attention to detail and his high leveld of professionalism. Whenever I wish to change my hair (men/short hair) he is able to recommend styles/options which mean I am always happy with the result. I am more than happy to recommend him and his services. On a personal note, Ant puts me at ease at every appointment, he doesn't take himself seriously (in a good way) and is very approachable. The salon has a relaxed atmosphere and reflects who he is as a person/hairdresser. It is great to see him with his own place and if you are thinking of getting a new hairdresser, treating yourself etc, visit Ant and support him and the salon.

Great to see Ant in his own salon. The salon and location is super-cool within the heart of Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter. Easy to drive too and easy to park, as well as being close to public transport links. Ant is always welcoming and accommodating, he has great knowledge and insights into hair trends and translates them into amazing haircuts!!!!

I have been having my hair cut by Nancy for years (and have had it cut by Anthony before too). So I was very excited to visit their new venture and of course I wasn’t disappointed!Visited the incredibly talented Nancy for a Brazilian Blowout and haircut, and as always I was happy with the result! I never know what I’d like to do to my hair and Nancy is always brilliant at being patient and collaborative - I trust her implicitly with my hair!Love the space Anthony and Nancy have created here and the service is extremely friendly and professional. I really enjoyed my time at Pattern + Matter, Ant the stylist was great and listened to my requirements carefully. I'm really pleased with my cut and colour, it looks and feels great. I have been having my hair cut from Ant for several years now, and I didn't hesitate in following him when he set up his own place. Pattern + Matter is in a great location, is kitted out in Ants style and felt instantly comforting. Love the sustainable set up too, a real plus to visiting. Would recommend Ant and his salon to all!
