Mostly Books is my favourite shop in UK. Wherever I have lived (Ireland UK Europe Switzerland Asia America) I settle and find bookshop!! Main priority. Mostly Books is simply the best I have ever known. Sarah, Jack and the girls are simply fantastic. Hands down the best independent bookshop in the area (including Oxford!). Excellent selection, with a dedicated kids books room. If they don’t have it, they’ll order it in! The wonderful team also run loads of events throughout the year. A must-visit destination if you visit Abingdon.

Absolutely brilliant! I decided a couple of years ago to stop using Amazon for books, and haven't looked back. I email when I want a book. Often they have it, if not they get it within two days. Staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. It's a pleasure to go there.

Friendly bookshop with a real ‘family feel’ which is always a pleasure to visit and browse. It’s a real land-mine / golf bunker of a shop: like quick-sand it sucks you in and before you know it, a hole has been blown in your bank balance. You will see plenty you want to buy and read, and you will spend money here. Great for cards / small gifts too. The excellent and knowledgeable staff are always happy to help, order books from publishers, and make personal recommendations. There are regular events, a newsletter, all sorts of stuff going on for children to get them into reading, a book club and subscription / gift subscription options to get you reading regularly.

Absolutely terrific bookstore in Abingdon which I hope to visit one day but their online experience is excellent with quick replies for my enquiries. I have used them for the last few years to send books to family members as I don’t live in the UK. I have used the Mystery bundle for my under age 10 group and it has been first rate. Thank you Mostly Books!
