The New Gower Hotel & Restaurant
Return visit on invitation following reviews by previous diners including mine below. Much improved standard all round, both food (very good Sunday lunch) and service /welcome. To be fair I'm assuming it was an off day when we visited previously.Earlier review.Poor service when we went with friends for Sunday lunch. Waiting staff poorly trained unable to answer basic questions about menu items and not offering to go and get answer from the chef. Not prepared to move us to a vacant table outside, and hurried us inside from our pre dinner drinks. Food was not good. Never had grey brocolli before and most of the party sent their main course back as it was cold. This was returned after being microwaved.At the end of our meal again refused even coffee and drinks service at the still empty outside table, but told to move to the bar area ". Almost rude. No apology for the state of the meal. Lovely location

Dog friendly chalet at the back of the hotel. We'll equipped. Lovely overhead warmer in the room. Fantastic location.Just be aware the sat nav took us through a ford which was quite high due to heavy rain. There is another route to the hotel that we found when we were leaving

Beautiful food and great service. Whole place has a truly luxury feel and has the dishes and staff to back that claim up. Highly Recommended.Worth finding, although not overly easy to locate. It is well worth the effort when you get there.

Just attended a family wedding and stayed overnight. The room was lovely, and the outside seating area was a nice touch for the room. Service and decor was really good. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect on every level, rooms (I had an “in house” 1st floor room) are clean, spacious with a 4m x4m en suite, good WiFi, free parking, smiley face from all the staff, food at Monroes (their own restaurant) was/is fantastic both for value and quality.Lots of local stuff also, a great hotel, HIGHLY recommend. X

My daughter has gone to university in Swansea, so I needed somewhere to stay close when I visited.Found The Gower Hotel, it looked good, reviews were good, so booked for the night.We stayed last night.What a find this was... the place is in such a beautiful, quiet location down a small country lane. Looks really appealing. Walked into the reception, which is beautifully decorated. The young woman at reception was lovely and gave us our room key.The small walk upstairs made us both smile wondering what our room was going to be like. We were not disappointed. Outstanding.It had the biggest bathroom with a freestanding bath, which just begged for someone to soak in.We went back downstairs to get some food at the restaurant. We ordered our food, which, when came was presented again, beautifully. It tasted just as good as it looked.Had a great sleep, as the bed was so comfortable.The breakfast again was gorgeous.If anyone is wondering about staying here... you will not be disappointed, I promise you.The next time we visit my daughter I will be stopping here for hopefully an extra night.Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The New Gower Hotel & Restaurant
We had a super stay in this gem of a hotel. The location was beautiful and tranquil. Our room was in the main building and large very clean and very nicely decorated. Our evening meal was delicious generously portioned and innovative. I've eaten all over Europe and it was one of the best meals I've ever eaten.The three members of staff who looked after us were great. Callum and Sue were really very accommodating and the lady who made us coffee was charming and very pretty.I would be happy to to move in and live here. Thank you very much for the lovely stay!
