Forgoing the fact that the app is terrible, they constantly cancel bookings at the last minute with no explanation, leaving you stuck. Awful service, will not be using again.

Used Frankies Taxis on Friday night, Dan went out of his way to get us sorted with a taxi. It turned up on time, friendly driver & great price compared to the extortionate other fares we were quoted.

We booked a 7 seater taxi to take us from Exeter to Rockbeare Manor for a wedding, and back home again at midnight. They quoted us £75 for both taxis. They sent 2 taxis from Apple taxis weirdly, and were charged £22.50 for each taxi. They then did not pick us up at midnight, and did not answer their phones.Don't recommend using them. Not reliable.

Booked taxi said be 40 mins be with you at 4.30 waited and waited rang them as waited an hour they said they still couldn't find a taxi to send and it would be at least another 15minutes ! Why bother giving a time atall ....bloody useless . In the mean time we watched a bloody bus go by and thought no we will stick with the taxi

Booked a taxi from odeon. Had a confirmation text saying odeon. Had a taxi has been dispatched text saying Odeon. Taxi was sent to a different address.Once the taxi actually arrived we had to spend a few minutes while the driver figured out where a main road in Beacon heath is.That's now 3 out of 3 bad experiences with Frankie's.

Absolute scumbags. Had a taxi booked for 7.40 on a sunday morning. They've cancelled at 8.05 via the app knowing full well nobody else would be able to cover the journey on short notice.Spoke to them at 7.20 and 7.50 to make sure on track, they've just said taxi on the way. After cancelling they've just not picked up the phone, mistakes happen but to be too scared to pick up the phone and explain/apologise is a disgrace.

We booked a return journey with Frankie's and they quoted a fair price. For the outbound journey, taxis from a different firm arrived and then charged us more than agreed. For the return journey the taxis never arrived. The phone line must have been closed because it rang once before cutting the line.Having looked at the other reviews I would advise not using this service.

The WORST taxi company in Exeter. I booked one for 12:20am after a night with friends, and it was half a hour late, leaving me stranded in the middle of the night for ages. I called them multiple times to see when it was coming, they kept saying it will be “10 mins” “5 mins” which was obviously a lie. They also said the driver would call me and he never did. Then when I told the driver he was late he said “I don’t know about that, sorry”. Obviously a huge lack of communication there. When I called they said they would make the fare cheaper because of how long I had to wait. I was charged £20. That doesn’t seem cheaper to me. This whole experience left me distressed and upset. Do NOT book with Frankie’s.

My partner is registered blind and booked a taxi with this company today. She explained that she would not be able to see the taxi pull up at the train station and asked for the driver to wave at her. She described exactly where she would wait for his arrival. The driver arrived and rang her and told her to find him behind a bus. He then told her he did not know the destination, which was not an obscure location. He asked her for directions which is completely ridiculous to ask a blind person. She also asked her for a postcode but surely could have got that from control himself? She called me and was very anxious. I described to the driver where the road was. (Destination was the back of a large school and not a back street little known.)The taxi had arrived over 20 minutes which I know can happen during traffic, but no one from the company bothered to phone my partner to let her know. She was so distressed when she spoke to me that I rang the taxi company when I got off the phone to ask them if they knew where the driver was as I was so worried. A blind person really should not be asked for directions. I was obviously very concerned, and sending the lack of compassion from the controllers tesponses I was assertive with a him as he seemed to think there wasn’t a problem at all as the system showed the taxi was nearby. He didnt care a blind woman was scared in one of their cabs. He kept repeating this and I kept trying to explain to him how inappropriate it was that she was asked. He repeated four times that the taxi was nearly there, but nothing was arriving. When the taxi did eventually reach the junction of the road that it was supposed to go to, I flashed my car lights at the driver so he would know where to go. (I have been sitting in my car waiting for over 20 minutes at this point.) It turns out that for the previous five minutes he had been going along the road that runs along the perimeter of the school at walking pace asking my partner repeatedly. If every black car part was mine. The bill was £9.50, but if you driven straight on the road it would’ve been considerably less.Whilst on the phone, the young uncaring and rude man who answered the call, told me that he did not like my tone.He really could not see that there was a problem with what was happening nor did he care what’s the weather how upset she was because of the situation the driver pottering. I explained to him that I was not swearing to him, but that I thought it was appalling. He then sarcastically, asked if I have used this company again, which I had personally done previously and then recommended them to my partner as an alternative to the large dominant Apple taxis. My initial experience has been positive for this company, but I’m absolutely horrified. I will happen today and the even I was not shouting swearing. The man then hung up the phone on me before the taxi has arrived at the destination and I knew my partner was okay. Before he hung up, I told him I wanted to make a complaint and he literally laughed down the phone at me. Absolutely disgusting customer service. When my partner got out of the taxi, she was very upset and had actually asked the driver a few minutes before to stop and lets her out of the car because she felt so unsafe. She said please stop and I will pay and get out of the taxi. He refused and continue to crawl along the curb at a minimal speed asking her to keep checking the cars, even though she could not see them and they were not even on the road, but she had asked him to take her too. See later confirmed with me that she had explained very clearly to the person who took the phone call booking about her blind status. When I told the call handler that asking a blind person to give directions is like asking a wheelchair user to walk, he really did not have the level of intelligence or decency to make the comparison, and he completely could not understand how terrible situation was that the driver and his complete lack of understanding of a disabled persons needs.AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU WANT A SAFE SERVICE.
