Bad customer service - they act like they don’t want their guests to be satisfied.When we arrived at midday we were told our request for adjoining rooms was possible which was great since we were travelling with a baby. We got checked in one of the rooms and the other one was supposed to be ready after lunch.When we came to check in later, the new receptionist told us that we were never getting adjoining rooms as the adjoining room was occupied from days ago. So now we were 2 floors apart.We were given a drinks voucher as a ‘sorry for the mess up’. When we had the drinks, the bar manager recognised it against the soft drinks and insisted we pay for the alcoholic drinks - an interesting way to say sorry to your guests.Them trying to make things better, only made our experience worse - wouldn’t recommend this hotel.Also - our bathroom floor was definitely not cleaned after the previous guests.

Stopped here a number of times now. It is frequently recommended as the best option in Cambridge for sure.Some of the rooms can be a little on the cosy side. When the bar and restaurant is busy it can be a little slow. In general, the service can be a little hit and miss,potentially as it seems quite a young staff there.However, on balance a fine hotel to explore and visit Cambridge. Definitely over the other four star options in the city.

One of my favorite Marriott properties of all time. Perfect mix of historical ambiance with modern convenience. I was upgraded to the Darwin Suite, which was amazing. I would go back to Cambridge just to stay in this hotel! Only downside was the gym had flooded, but they accommodated by paying for my membership at a fitness center nearby.

The autograph is well situated in central Cambridge. Parking is available (commercial rates) at a car park across the green. The staff were welcoming but there were a number of flaws in the facilities. The gym has not been working for some time which was not advertised when booking (the alternative of a paid session at a public gym did not appeal) 50% of the lifts were not working (and not fixed during the stay) and the breakfast range was a bit limited. There are better value options in Cambridge.

Wonderful hotel. Excellent decor in both the rooms and throughout the hotel. Bathrooms are fantastic as are the tea sets provided in the rooms. Location can’t be beat - central to everything (though you can walk pretty much anywhere in Cambridge regardless where you are) and just a short walk from the National bus stop if you’re coming from or going to Heathrow and other airports. I would stay again despite a rather frustrating experience. I had added an additional 4th night to my 3 night booking and confirmed it was all correct when I checked in. Had a knock at my door on my last day asking if I would need help with my bags. I stated I was to be staying another night and to please confirm with the front desk that there wasn’t some mistake. He assured me it should be fine. I had to rush to an appt and was out all day. Returned late at night to find my key not working and after going back down to the front desk being told I was checked out. Had to rebook, confirm the correct charges and when I returned to my room it hadn’t been made up, and no coffee or tea for the evening or the morning. Not the end of the world and certainly manageable, but definitely a negative in what was otherwise a fantastic stay.

A lovely hotel but definitely pay a bit extra to avoid the “cozy” rooms. The size is less of an issue than the fact they have no external window except to a small light well. I felt they were relatively overpriced compared to rooms others attending the same event had for only a small extra cost.

Highly recommend a short stay here. I crédible customer service. An amazing Italian receptionist stood out the most & provided a great guide to stroll around the area. Also the spa is a must, I had the full body massage including head. Great to get out of London for a long weekend. Thank you for a great stay.

Fantastic location, short walk into City Centre.Rooms had everything you would need and hotel is very clean and tastefully decorated. Also got a free room upgrade and cocktails on arrival. The cocktails are excellent and the bar had a nice buzz about it. Would 100% stay here again

Right in the heart of Cambridge, very nice hotel. Biggest negatives was that there is no parking, and also very busy hotel bar that we couldn't get into at first. Did find us a table in the end. Rooms very nice, all you need
