When I think about a Care Home, the first thing I think of is would I be happy if a member of my close family was a resident there?......I can honestly say if it were the case then I would be more than satisfied that my family member was in a warm, caring and clean environment as is the case at Durnsford Lodge. I've recently started working there, and I can say hand on heart everyone associated with this Care home from the cleaner to the Carers, to Management and and the Owner, are some of the warmest human beings you'll ever meet. The residents wellbeing and happiness are paramount, yes it is hardwork but equally rewarding.

I have worked at Durnsford Lodge for 7 months now and have felt welcomed and included since day 1. Our residents are happy, very well looked after and take part in fun activities everyday. I can honestly say I enjoy going to work. It is sad to read a negative & untrue review from someone, just because their time here didn’t work out.

I haven't been working here long but from the minute I walked in it felt like home all the staff and managers are very welcoming and glad to be part of the team the carethat is given is outstanding

I have recently began working at durnsford lodge and have been taken back by everyone's kindness and warm welcoming. The staff are lovely, caring and very attentive, the home is clean and safe and the residents are always happy

Worst place I have ever worked in my whole 25 years of being in the care industry. 7 managers in 12 months. High turn over of staff, the owner gossips about staff member and ex staff member and managers, the home is unclean and unkept, very little activities for the residents to do as the owner will not pay for equipment.

Durnsford is such a fantastic, person-centered home which promotes dignity and respect for their residents. The homes staff are always so welcoming and can never be asked too much. The owner of Durnsford, Sue, is a remarkable lady who always has the residents best interest in mind. The home manager Rebecca has been extremely helpful, friendly and always at the end of the phone if there is every anything we need. Overall, Durnsford Lodge is full of diversity, kindness and importantly a passion for the care that they deliver.

I cannot speak highly enough of the love and care shown to my Dad before he sadly passed away. The staff were fantastic treating my Dad with dignity and respect while catering for his complex needs. They were also great with Mum on her visits. Food and cleanliness were excellent andy it was a great comfort to us to know how well he was treated.

This home is the best home I have worked in. Friendly atmosphere and truly home from home. Residents are well looked after and cared for. Residents enjoy regular outings and entertainment. There is always something going on to engage the residents. Brilliant staff who are always happy to help. Management very approachable and supportive. Best home in Plymouth!!!
