Asymmetric Gothic church (1857) designed by George Gilbert Scott.Soaring ashlar and knapped flint stone exterior featuring a medley of design flourishes: all reinforcing the vertical thrust evident here.Noteworthy decorated tracery and an embellished, (disproportionate ?) narrow tower/spire - anticipating the advent of the Scud missile.Commanding presence on the hill and surrounded by an aggregate of equally impressive historic buildings.I did not enter.
