Excellent variety of fish that's always changing. Knowledgeable staff who are more than happy to help with selections or advice. Thoroughly recommended if you're after anything related to a home aquarium.

Fantastic variety of tropical,cold water and marine fish as well as a large variety of live plants!

Update 29/05/23, the store is now half the size it was with half the selection available. Still a good selection of fish but not quite what it was when we first used to visit, the fish centre in Henry Street Garden Centre is much bigger with a much better selection of fish and treatments/accessories.Starting to look like it's closing down, it has become very messy inside with lots of empty shelves, a lot of the treatments are much much cheaper on Amazon

Excellent food and service always worth the wait

This place is just the best. We luckily or unluckily, whichever way you look at it, won (well, got given) a goldfish at the fair a year or so ago. We bought a fish tank and thought we were prepared for what lies ahead...... We hadn't been given all bad advice but there was some advice missing and our fish began to suffer. We have two as we got another one free when we bought our tank!In comes Maidenead Aquatics and a very knowledgeable, passionate and friendly Cat. She helped us with all of our needs to help get our tank clean and our fish healthy again. We were there for two hours solid writing down all the information she was giving us and she never once made us feel stupid, bad or that she couldn't wait to get rid of us. That is a fantastic quality in any staff member and we really appreciated all the advice and help she gave us.It a a fantastic place with a great selection of fish (We didn't buy any more!) Plenty of tanks and tank decorations and all the stuff you could possibly need to look after your fish.Be prepared if you get given or win a goldfish at the fair. To give them the best life you need to spend a lot of money and have enough time on your hands to care for them properly!Very highly recommended!

Stay well away from this shop, we got a few tetras to add to our tank and all of the fish including our well established ones died within 2 weeks.Poorly kept with unhealthy fish, plant section looked like a joke with very old plants and poor selection, staff looked poorly.On another tank we added a few plants we got from the shop and we now have a mould infestation and algae problems.
