Joyful Chinese Take Away

to start off the service which is absolutely disgraceful and as a customer had me completely bemused to such attitude. i’ve sent out a order to them while a friend of mine is out to pay and collect, as i’ve sent this order she has said over the phone “food will be done in 10 minutes” already giving you an idea of how terrible the quality of food is since my order contained multiple menu items. 5 minutes later i’ve received a call telling me to come collect the food already??? telling me cash only i assured her that someone is coming to collect the food after going to the cash point. another 5 minutes later has now told me “i waste my food but not my time” it’s disrespectful for a business owner to disrespect the customer especially in such short time period i’ve had their food before and had times where the meat wasn’t cooked or the rice is half way done on mutiplie occasions i totally wouldn’t recommend ordering off here ever

Really not happy, cheat night on a diet. Used to LOVE this place, but no more. Sunday night just opened and they said 45mins for a delivery? But we ordered took over a hour! The food has gone up in price LOADS, less meat in dishes, all dishes are different from before. Really not that nice either, the barbecue ribs are in a coloured water no pineapple in dishes that should have. Never ever again!

Update Sept 2020:3rd time Ordered a few weeks laterTried some different dishes this time to note:- Sweet sour pork HK style - its good but you only get just over half a tub full.- Shredded chilli beef portion is only 1/2 filled tub full, so not really worth it.- Singapore Noodles- taste great but you dont get much meat in it, mainly noodles (meat is chopped very very thin!)-pepper salt ribbs are in batter then stir fried in the salt and chili is nice although I prefer abit more spice to it.1st order Sept - First time ordering here... very good food.Lemon chicken was abit dry and tough but overall all other food was great! Enjoyed this and will order again! Yum enjoyed the sweet sour chicken balls the most!

Absolutely not very nice Pork v tough . Completely gone down hill. Wonton soup lacked flavour, lacked seasoning Never again. Absolutely in shock to be honest at the quality of the food levels. Come on Joyful ! You used to be amazing before you changed hands. What's changed?Rice was semi ok.

Think the management has changed. Have ordered king prawn chow mein the last few times, bland tasteless, nothing in it. Tried again last night, ordered duck black bean sauce - oh my god- sugar sugar , I may as well have eaten a mars bar, awful, duck was hard and looked like it had been recooked a ton of times. Boyfriends duck chow mein was not any better. Will not be returning. Price has since gone up as well, wouldn’t mind if it was still good but it’s awful.

First time we ordered a takeaway, it was delicious, tasty, non greasy food with speedy delivery . Reasonable price.

Since changing management in the last year or so the food standard has fallen. For example Aromatic Crispy duck is fatty, tasteless and not cooked in traditional Chinese manner and not crispy. I cannot see it staying in business with competition so high. I give it a year or so. I won't be using it again. It is fast though.
