Middlewood Farm Holiday Park

Absolutely brilliant first stay on a campsite with a tent. Don’t think we could have asked for more. Friendly welcome from the guys behind the desk and showing us where to go. Nice kids play area. We were on the square field with only a short walk to the facilities which were well maintained and clean. A good 15 min walk to Robin Hoods Bay which was within easy reach.

We arrived on a Thursday at the beginning of August in the pouring rain, my main concern and complaint is how badly drained the field is, and more needs to be done to drain it for the future we had three days of rain and my friends tent flooded, the pitch was boggy and there was nowhere for the water to go. My parents stayed in a pod and didn't think it was worth the money, there where no utensils in the pod despite having a microwave and a kettle,** The local pubs are good for eating out although I would recommend booking and the village is a 10/15 minute walk away, we'll worth a look with some nice shops and cafes. And we got a really nice lady taxi driver who was very pleasant and reasonable.

Lovely clean and well kept campsite. Been coming here for years camping and now campervanning!Always friendly. Short stroll into Robin hoods bay. Couldn't ask for more!

We stayed as a family for 2 nights, in a tent in the square field.Pros -The facilities are great, showers are hot and although the site was busy we never had to wait. Our daughter loved the little playground tooThe most beautiful location a stones throw from Robin Hoods Bay. The village location is perfect - a short walk from a pub, playground, walks and bus stops to get you to Whitby, Scarborough etc. Surrounded by fields the site really was very pretty, with gorgeous starry night skiesSuper friendly staffCons -Mainly to do with other inconsiderate campers, not adhering to quiet after 11pm and allowing their dogs to permanently be off lead, roaming around without any supervision. It would be great if staff could keep an eye out for this kind of thing.The grass in the square field needed a good cut (wasn’t an issue when it was dry, but after rain it stayed very wet)Overall we had a wonderful weekend and will definitely be back!

Really good and well priced campsite, lots of electrical and hard stabding pitches as well as grassed.There is a track that runs past it called the cinder track that you can use to walk to robin hoods bay or boggle hole.I definateky recommend this site.The facilities are very good but tend to get muddy towards the end of a busy week, to be expected though.

We’ve had a super week long stay at Middlewood Farm and look forward to returning next summer. Very warm and friendly welcome by the lady on reception and a nice chat with the owner, who was also extremely friendly and welcoming. Good size and clean pitch with easy access to water and other tourer facilities. Facilities were spotless and cleaned regularly. The site was busy with fellow campers but never too busy or noisy, in fact the lack of light pollution and noise in the evenings made for a great nights sleep! Great location for exploring Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby and surrounding area - with fantastic walks from the campsite! We really enjoyed our stay and particularly enjoyed being in a farm surrounding - we’ll be back - thank you!

Perfect for walks and Robin hoods bay. Shower facilities tho.... the showers are only on for 5 mins, so you're asked to undress before showering, this would be fine if you didn't have to wait around 2 mins for the showers to warm up and there's no heating inside, so it's cold and women who have long hair don't have time to shampoo and condition, you have to leave the shower cubicle and step into another and then wait for that to warm up, you're also stuck if you want to take the kids into the shower with you. There's a laundrette on site, it's £3 for a wash and £3.60 to dry, you can get a lot of clothes into the machine and drier, but remember to bring your washing powder. There's been a lot or rain over the past few weeks so the pitches are like mud baths ( not the sites fault, as this year has been extremely wet ). The village next to the site is gorgeous, there's a village pub, shop and post office. My only gripe is the showers. 5 minutes is ample time to have a shower if the water is instantly warm, but its not, it does take a while to heat up and there's no heater to keep you warm once you've undressed and are waiting to hop in. I'd say leave the showers running for 8 minutes or have a push button and maybe have a heater installed as myself and my little girl were shivering. I would visit this place again as it is set in a gorgeous location

Second time here and definitely come again. If you like the night sky, its like out of the movies on a clear night. Facilities are amazing even sockets in the shower rooms if needed esp if you haven't got a power bank for your phone. Well worth a visit. 10 min walk to Robin hoods Bay. I could carry on but take my word absolutely amazing

We stayed in a camping pod for 4 nights. It comfortably sleeps 4. We were a family of three. Each pod had a fridge, kettle and microwave. The shower and toilet blocks were close by and clean. Free drinking water available. 10 minute walk through farmers fields into Robin Hood bay.No onsight shop which was the only downside for us.We had a great experience and would happily return.
