Horrible organisation. What sort of a company doesn't give you a reminder before issuing a fine? We are human beings - if we don't use it often, we may forget to pay. If you don't give people the option to pay on the day, then you know full well that people who don't use the tunnel regularly will forget to pay later online. It was my first time using it for years. The decent thing to do would be to issue at least a single reminder, and not an immediate £60 fine. First letter received threatens court. Awful money grabbers.

Purposely badly signposted for tolls to be paid so that users like myself (first time) get stung with a fine for not paying something I didn't know was due. A 24 hour period is also ridiculously tight for payment should you know.A system devised to make money. Criminal!

Simply put: a company of crooks. If I would give 0 stars I could. I've been fined incorrectly every time I've passed through the tunnel, since the barriers were removed. I suggest TT2 invest in automated payment systems that actually work instead of causing distress to customers who have paid honestly for their passage. Their unpaid toll system is so heavy handed and system errors often result in fines being issued, along with threats of debt collector. It's absolutely disgusting. The low life CEO needs to take a serious look at themself and their company's practices.

i see that the company has received a lot of flack about things going wrong and I received my share of frustration when an error in reading a number plate led to me receiving a fine, when me and my car were down south. I appealed. The fine was cancelled. Double frustration when I received a second fine. I again appealed. Successfully. Apparently a badly placed screw in the number plate made a 'C' look like a '0'. not my fault but not the company's fault either. I spoke to an operative who couldn't have been more helpful.

'TT2 Ltd' what a horrible company.They've gone massively out of their way to make it borderline impossible to pay just before entering or when exiting the tunnel.Now all online, if you forget to pay within the 24 hours they don't prompt you for payment or ask for double, or even triple the cost etc. They fine you for almost 30x the actual cost of a single passage. Completely unreasonable and they've got loads of little tricks to make it difficult to pay/easy to forget etc.There are other routes available, avoid avoid avoid this money making scam.Just out check how many companies have investigated them!

Pay to go through the tunnel just to sit at the entrance for 10-15 min and this happens all the time. It’s not time saving it’s time wasting. I was exempt from charge yet still had to pay twice a day for 12 years as the greedy company makes it so hard to claim the exemption and this is deliberate. Even tried to fine me once and it was cancelled due to me being exempt yet they still make me pay after this meaning they knew I was exempt but are too greedy and selfish or just lazy to adjust the charge. I no longer use the tunnel it’s quicker to go over the Tyne bridge most of the time anyway and that’s free, I would rather do that than pay this greedy horrible company another penny.

Absolutely horrendous organisation that should be banned out of existence.I am a very occasional user of the tyne tunnel and have always had every intention of paying. However, these scam artists have- Removed all the means to pay immediately (i.e. the toll booths) making it highly likely that honest, but busy people may one day forget- Then ensured they have no means to warn or contact drivers if the accidentally forget to pay, due to the way they have specifically removed all options for immediate payment.So in my case I have been fined anywhere between £64 and £108 for a 1 hour shopping trip.Unbelievable

Awful, horrible company who only care about making money and making life difficult for people.The cashless system is designed to catch people out so they can make money. They didn't even deny this as they said they weren't obliged to answer any of the points made during appeals process. They are a devious company too as I addressed a legal letter to the Vice President who I believe is the highest-ranking officer (as on Companies House) and it got passed on to the Complaints Department instead. When challenged about this they just said they were authorized to answer letters on behalf of the directors. Complete and utter con artists!I fought long and hard against the UTCNs I received as they are unlawful, but ended up paying as I don't have time to fight it any further and this has caused a great deal of stress and inconvenience. They have purposely made it that way and they will be laughing no doubt. Don't know how these evil people sleep at night.Beware though TT2 God is slow but sure and he will bring justice to you for what you are doing to people! Mark my words! I will be doing my bit to expose your evil tactics too.

Zero. Another shameless tax on motorists making it less and less pleasurable to drive. The appeals process is horrendous no reminders. People are not trying to dodge £2.20 for a crossing, they simply forget due to the small signage (like a sheet of A4) and the fact they are moving at 30MPH as they pass it, which is exactly what TT2 are counting on. Scum basically.
