Skippy Skip Hire

The skip delivered was in poor condition and needed to go in a skip itself, had a massive gaping hole on one side. Collection took nearly a month, but we later learnt that was because the skip was hired through a 3rd party and not directly through Skippy, and the communication between the Franchise and Skippy is very poor. Once we rang Skippy direct it was collected in a few days.

A shambles of a business, they never answer the phone or respond to their online inquiry form. If you are lucky enough to get a skip from them it's normally falling to bits and not fit for purpose!!!

Useless customer service. Phone continually not available or rings off. I ordered a skip for this morning and it hasnt arrived. Finally got through on the phone and they know nothing about the morning request. Even referred to the person I spoke to when ordering and he lied saying I didn't request morning.

I'm a local company that has been using Skippy skips for around a year now. I've had around 10 skips from them all level filled or under, a one-off time one skip was around 1ft overfilled I have just had a call from them saying they're going to charge me an extra £40 I've asked nicely for this to be waived as I do have skips regularly and I've never overfilled before, he has a blunt answer no we are the cheapest! they obviously do not care about repeat customers and his telephone manner is quite rude. I'd rather pay more and go elsewhere!

Worse company I've ever dealt with. Skip didn't arrive. They don't answer the phone even their free phone number, just cuts off. 5 other available numbers just a shame no one available to answer them. YET TOOK MY MONEY AS.... no delay in taking that. If they could deliver as promptly as they take your money... They'd be A rated. Appalling.

I'm a new up and running company, 36 attempts to rig up to orded skip for Friday which arrived. Off hired 3 days later took 9 days to collect after over 80 attempts to contact them to chase up collection. Very poor service from skipy and verry annoyed cliant on my behalf, I'll pay bit more next time to get better service from different skip company to best suit my company needs.

Great company and great prices! Really helpful when i rang up and needed information, just ordered my 2nd skip as they were so good with the first one. Will use again

The skip was ready to be picked up on the 28th mar.Despite calling and getting answerphone we still have the skip. We have called every day and only spoke to someone twice, (left 3 messages) Both times they have said in the next 2 days.Now their answerphone is full and the phone is off the hook.I'm a physically disabled person and it is difficult for me to use steps so we have a slope. A slope I cant use because of the skip.We have had to postpone contractors twice because they cant get to where they need to work on.Skippy skips, if you read this please come and get your skip

Avoid this company like the plague if you want a good service. Would give0 stars if it was possible.Very quick to demand money for skips but not quick to collect. One skip had a giant hole in the bottom. No way of contacting the company as nobody answers the phone. On one occasion when we did get through to someone, we were fobbed off for many days. One day, was told that someone would be there in 30 minutes but they didn't show. Another day, they had no driver" but was told this after 5pm and waited in all day at a property that we were vacating that day.Finally got a skip collected after saying that I would charge by the day as they were not upholding their end of their agreement. This was done by email and received no actual reply. The skip was at the property waiting to be collected for 5 weeks."

Very surprised about some of the other comments.We had no issues with communication, staff always answered, were helpful and polite. Price competitive and skip arrived on set day.Driver was great and placed skip exactly where we needed it even though it was a bit awkward.Would definitely recommend.
