Restoration Flooring

Very pleased with our new, reclaimed oak floor.. After having considered replacing carpet in our hallway for several years we decided to go for some reclaimed oak to try and enhance the appearance of our 200 year old property. After having found some reclaimed oak which was supplied locally from the Matlock area, I contacted Peter who runs Restoration Flooring based near Cromford. Peter was very helpful in coming to my property, offering advice and suggestions to help our project. He also had samples of oak alongside examples from previous projects which showed the lovely characterful oak which he suppliesWe took the plunge and committed to having 17m2 of old oak laid to our hallway. Within four weeks Peter and his colleague Bren were on site! . They were very professional and clearly take great pride in their work. Peter goes out his way to make the best of his oak with forward planning to prepare the wood and make the best of any characteristics. The wood is laid to show the different colours and widths which provides a beautiful “ been there forever look “ . Finally Osmo oils are applied to further show the character and protect the wood.Overall we couldn’t be happier with the service we received our hall floor looks fantastic and would thoroughly recommend Peter and Restoration Flooring to anyone who is considering installing a reclaimed oak floor.
