About the Business
King Edward's Bay | Visit North Tyneside | King Edwards Bay is a small sandy bay enclosed by cliffs and grassy banks and as such is an excellent environment for family use. The beach is at the foot of Tynemouth Priory and Castle, a historic site run by English Heritage. The bay is only a short walk from Tynemouth Front Street and is a Blue Flag and Seaside award-winning beach. It is a perfect place to sit and relax on a hot summer day. With all of Tynemouth's cafes and shops right on the beaches doorstep it really is ideal for families. Dogs are banned on the beach and the RNLI have beach lifeguards operating during the summer months.

This is just a spectacular view taken from 100 feet above the bay.Standing on the top of the cliff gives some idea just how high this cliff is.At the top of the cliff is a very nice pub which sells a very good carvery. It sells a very good range of beers wine's and spirits all at very reasonable prices.We worth a visit.

An absolutely gorgeous beach. Riley’s fish shack is a wonderful addition too.Just need to get in better shape to handle the stairs!!

Lovely beach. Has a cute cafe. Hate walking down all the stairs but then again I'm fat so when do I not hate walking anywhere to be fair. Anyway, beach cute.

Nice unspoilt beach near Whitley Bay. Access is by way of many steep steps so be warned!Nice sea views and sheltered sands. Also views of the nearby Priory on the headland.You can buy a cuppa or a snack at Riley's Fish Shack on the beach too.
