Went for afternoon tea and it was the worse afternoon tea I have ever had, and I've had a lot. The cake selection consisted of a slice of chocolate brownie and a small slice of shortcake. The Scone was more like a rock cake, couldn't be sliced as it just crumbled as it was so hard. Nothing like the picture on the website.

I came here for afternoon tea. The staff here were friendly. They provided us a menu with the variety of drinks to choose from. When they brought the food, they explained what each food item was (which I found really helpful as not every afternoon tea place does this). They checked on us whilst we were eating to check if everything was OK. I recommend the scone and the Victoria sponge cake, which had a really nice vanilla flavour to it. I do enjoy the sweet treats here, so I would probably come back again for some more tea and cake.

Visited The Phoenix Kitchen today afternoon tea & we thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were lovely & the food was delicious, from the sandwiches to the cakes & scones. We were kept topped up with tea, so we went away very satisfied. Would definitely recommend.

Met a friend at Claydon House for a walk, to see the house and have lunch. Rain stopped play for the walk so we started our catch up with lunch in The Phoenix Kitchen. We had an amazing lunch and lovely home produced apple juice. The menu had lots of choice with gluten free choices available as well. We liked the friendly atmosphere so much we popped back for a cup of tea after our trip around the house.

No longer - Great breakfast; poached eggs done to perfection, appetising and beautifully presented. It appears it was a one off.Repeat visits - varied from discoloured avocado mash to barely a scrape of avocado. Dry poached eggs and cooked bacon underneath saturated in water. No more of that for me.Can't go wrong with the coffee, so far.

A lovely place. Friendly and helpful staff, delicious food and good value. Have visited for coffee and cake (a great stop if you’re cycling) and the supper club evenings are a great price with superb food. Highly recommend a visit.

Nice friendly staff, however I did feel that disappointed with price and lack of stock.. It was 3pm on a Saturday and sandwiches were out of stock and this should be more stocked up. Also flapjack I ordered purchased was £3.50 which I felt was overpriced. Along with £2.50 for coke with no ice or lemon available.

Just enjoyed our afternoon tea and bubbles at Phoenix Kitchen (was an Xmas gift from family). Lovely sandwiches with bread from local bakery, mini home made quiche and sausage roll delicious followed by fruit scone, brownie and cake. Very enjoyable and made all the better by the great staff. Lorraine in particular very helpful and we thought she coped beautifully with a difficult customer! Will definitely be back....

We were greeted by a lovely waitress who showed us to our table and offered us something to drink. They were friendly and attentive and the food...the food was absolutely amazing. They catered for my vegetarian and Lactose intolerant girlfriend and she really enjoyed the food. The tray of food I had was delicious and the quiche and sausage roll were freshly baked and tasted great. The bread was soft and fresh and croissant was crispy and with a cheese and tomato sauce type condiment which was lovely as well.I would 100% recommend them to anyone and we'll definitely visit them again.I think we'll visit again in the summer when it's warmer and sunnier so we can enjoy the scenery a bit more.
