Misha Andersen Design

We hired Misha for interiors for our newly purchased home, which thanks to her, has been truly transformed. She visited the place for initial consultation along with a decorator was quick to assess what could work in the timelines and budget we had in mind.Misha took time to understand our requirements and was able to provide a competitive quote which included project monitoring as well as sourcing for the entire house. She came up with excellent design ideas and managed the project well with her team. She was patient with us as we changed our minds midway on certain things and was literally on hand/phone for any questions.Misha was also able to source some excellent showcase pieces, in lighting, furniture and art, all at great prices. She also came up with couple of brilliant ideas of transforming existing cupboards and shelves, rather than replacing them, which also saved us a lot of money.We would definitely recommend getting an initial consultation with Misha for your interior project.

Misha and her team were a joy to work with. Due to the Covid restrictions, we were unable to meet in person and had to manage the whole project remotely, which would often add an element of uncertainty. However, Misha made this a breeze and removed any stress from the process. She was very responsive throughout, with quick turnarounds between design cycles and offered constructive recommendations for additional elements outside of her scope throughout. She worked well with our contractors and delivered a high end design within our budget. I'll definitely be working with her again in our future developments and I highly recommend her to anybody looking for a dynamic and contemporary interior designer.

I'm very disappointed to have to leave such a poor review for Misha, as I had such high hopes after finding her on Houzz, meeting her for a coffee and discussing the project. She seemed very pleasant and knowledgable and she even offered me a discount if I paid her in cash, which I was open to doing. Unfortunately, what Misha says and what Misha does seemed to be two very different things. She made me feel comfortable and assured that the project was in hand and that she understood my style, but she rarely communicated with me at all over the next few weeks and when she did the items she suggested to me showed that she really had not paid much attention at all to most of the things I had told her. I maintained my politeness and tried to stay positive but unfortunately the last straw was the day before I got the keys to my new apartment when she suddenly advised me that she needed payment upfront in cash or she wouldn't even visit the property to look around and come up with a design proposal. I checked back through the documents she had sent me when we initially spoke, and the documents had clearly stated that payment would only be required once she had provided a design proposal. I screen-shotted this section of her own document showing why I was not expecting to be asked for cash upfront, and her response was to be very condescending and tell me that she's never had any such problems before and that I was being difficult because I don't understand the industry. She reiterated that I either agree to pay her in cash or she wouldn't even come to view the property. This left me in a horribly uncomfortable situation of having wasted 3 weeks of my time thinking everything was in hand and having to frantically ring around to find a new designer last minute. I would not recommend her to anyone, and would instead encourage caution to those thinking of hiring her without a backup plan.

Let me start by saying, we were looking for not obvious interior design solutions but something exciting , adventurous and sensual for our home in Emirates. We loved the process, connection, bright and positive guidance , constant flow of ideas and long evenings when we could connect , review and approve. Misha and her team brought us piece of mind working with reliable providers and innovative materials. Thanks so much for capturing our vision and bringing our ordinary space to a level of brilliance! Every detail looks absolutely amazing.

Working with Misha was a nightmare, she has a good eye for design but awful project management skills and never completed the job.We gave her a clear budget for 5 rooms and she accepted the job on this basis.She doesn't use any software with her clients, instead, she spams pictures at you through a WhatsApp group with no prices. This creates two huge problems that caused major delays:1. We spent a vast amount of time deliberating which combination of items to go with only to find out that they were way out of budget after we selected them.2. Having all options sent to you in a WhatsApp group makes it incredibly hard to go back and find something or see the combinations for each room. We ended up making our own mood board online and inviting Misha to paste the pictures of each item in each room so we could see them all together. As the client, we should not have to do the work for her.Misha continued to share options that later turned out to be completely out of budget, she once shared a selection of items for the living room that accounted for half of the entire budget. It was the most frustrating experience to spend time deliberating over options only to repeatedly find out they were way over budget once chosen.It got to the point where we had to list out each specific type of item we needed with its own specific budget and threaten legal action if she didn't complete the work. Only then did she actually make the effort to share some in-budget options but then she ordered dining chairs without measuring the dining table, ultimately these didn't fit under the dining table and had to be swapped. We've waited 6 months to receive the money-back from Misha for the difference in the price of these dining chairs so will be starting small claims court proceedings soon.All in all the process took 7 months, she never completed all of the work and turned what was meant to be a fun experience into one that was stressful and upsetting. We ended up only using her options for the living room and sourced all the items for the other 4 areas ourselves because we got tired of waiting.

We went through few changes at the same time. New family member , changing job , new country and new home . Stressful as you can imagine. LOVED the experience of sharing and finding solutions with Misha ‘s Andersen design team. The process was simple. The options presented were generous with new and practical space ideas. Wonderful creativity and down to earth designs. Supply and material challenges made the waiting time longer then expected but the resulted in home of our dreams. We tried colours and wall covering that wasn’t our natural choice but after few rounds went back to the first proposal . Contractors team done great job but were not immediately available . Surrounded by so many suppliers and specialists Misha’s team were monitoring but still the process took slightly later to move in .

I absolutely loved working with Misha & her dynamic team. They made the entire renovation an amazing experience. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. They are professional yet equally personable. My flat renovation was a total demolition & re-design that took place for 4 months entire process seemed almost effortless.
