Absolutely love staying at The Eagles. The place is fantastic and the staff are wonderful. We've stayed 3 times over the last couple of months whilst on business and enjoyed each visit just as much. The rooms are comfortable and the buffet style breakfast is superb. Looking forward to staying again!

Perfect rooms in a great location.Huge thank you to Manny - we had to leave early the next morning, so they started breakfast a little early so we could eat before heading out.Couldn't had asked for more.

Room furnishings were a bit dated, but the rooms were clean and staff was friendly. Extensive breakfast. Situated next to a charming river, and minutes from the national park.

Sunday lunch was delicious apart from the roast potatoes, which I think were frozen ones. The beef and other vegetables were lovely. Pleasant setting, good service by friendly and efficient staff.

We stayed in one of the smaller rooms. Bathroom was OK but the shower would not turn off , tap on sink was loose and water would not go down sink . We reported the problem staff took a while to respond . Shower unavailable next day .Staff were friendly food was good .Location was good with beautiful views .

My friend and I have had several meals here. Curry night is amazing, delicious food and excellent friendly service. The latte is cheap and massive and very good coffee and their lunches and desserts also excellent. Its becoming our go to venue.

A lovely location. Staff very, very friendly.Rooms are quite dated and very warm. The bed felt quite old too.Bathroom very modern looking. However, the shower was incredibly weak and the water took an age to go down the hole.Breakfast was excellent. Really tasty and buffet style.

We visited with family for a short holiday. The rooms have period features, some of the rooms are in need of minor touch ups but otherwise bathrooms are refurbished.The buffet breakfast is delicious, especially the mushrooms and vegetarian sausages.The curry night buffet on Wednesdays was splendid too. Something one mustn't miss if you are around.The service needs a special mention - Aman who served us with a smile, made us feel so welcome and nothing was ever too much for her. She was thoughtful and so prompt in her service.The front desk team were so receptive about any niggles or requirements we had.Ample parking, it's right on the high street, dog friendly, by the river and a stone's throw from the castle.The property has good potential.We will visit again.

ABSOLUTE scammers!! DO NOT VISIT! If I could leave zero stars I would. Be warned you'll be hit with a £100 fine, that in 3 days rises to £170 for parking in their car park after buying food and drink from them. You send the hotel proof you bought food and drink and they do nothing about it! Avoid this place at ALL COSTS!

Stayed here after our 3 peaks challenge. Picked the only night of the year when the hotel seems to be the epicentre of the village agricultural show! Chaos! Locals over indulging all over the place! Well past midnight before things calmed down. Room ok, breakfast OK. Village nice once it had been cleared up by the local council.
