It was impossible to find as Travelodge provided two different postcodes via email/text. We flagged this up with the Receptionist on arrival. If we had realised the Travelodge was in the middle of a service area we wouldn't have booked especially as the rooms were a lot more basic than other Travelodge's we have stayed in. Our main gripe was the rude two Receptionists who thought they were doing nothing wrong by parking in the only two available Blue Badge holder spaces. When I pointed out that my husband is disabled with a blue badge and needed to use one of these spaces, they retorted you didn't book a disabled room". We didn't (we booked a family room) but I can't see how that justifies them using the spaces when there were plenty of other car park spaces they could have used. My husband has terminal cancer

Really good location and easy to find, just south of Ipswich on A12. I've stayed here a couple of times and the rooms are large, warm and quiet. Staff are friendly and welcoming. There is only a garage and Starbucks nearby.

Me and my daughter stayed here the night before seeing friends in Brantham the next day. It was very welcoming and a quick check in, which was great as we had a long drive down. The room was cosy and had a little TV, which we used. Quiet considering the location being on top of the A12. We had a good sleep but it was a bit warm. Good place to stay.

Rooms are very basic, no furniture just a bed, small tv, a chair, a kettle and that’s it. Bathroom in room needs upgrading a with the hotel being right next to the dual carriageway you get constant road noise. Booked 2 nights only stayed for 1 found other accommodation. Person on reception very helpful, it’s basic and warm if that’s all you want but for £30 you can stay in a local guest house in the centre of Ipswich.

Not a great experience, beds were the only thing that made our stay, as a family, comfortable. The bed linen was clean, but that is all the good bits of our visit. I'm not familiar with the area but the place felt run down and very very poor conditions inside the family room we stayed in. There was mold all the windows and the carpet was thread bare, and very poorly maintained, the skirting boards looked like they have been chewed by dogs. The bathroom was not at all clean where you need it to be clean. Such a shame a renovation hasn't taken place.Although the room was cheap, we really felt it was cheap in its condition.Wouldn't recommend for a family. It felt like the only people who use this establishment regularly are the ones who offer personal services and massages.

A slightly more basic (older) hotel with keys to the doors (how retro) and slightly confusing entrance to carpark if you come in in the dark, this aside it was clean and not too noisy despite A12 right by it. Super value at only 38.99, so you can't really complain about anything for that price. Would use again if coming through the area.

Stayed for several nights. Comfortable. Had our dog so happy to have somewhere to stay. Could certainly use an update, certain parts very worn/tired. Only complaint was that for four nights as a couple we found 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel. But cheap and cheerful happily stay there again.

Lovely quiet place. Nice and clean comfy cosy bed and room. The only thing I was a bit disappointed with was no breakfast but that was my fault for not looking properly. But overall a lovely relaxing stay! Also the staff were lovely and friendly

This place was ok but in the middle of nowhere !The sat nav postcode they gave was a disaster.Travel Lodge at carpel st Mary plz just give the bp petrol station postcode on the website as I think there’s a better chance for people to get there !Very annoying getting lost and the entrance was so vague. Some bushes was the entrance that was difficult to find!Good job we went during the day!
