Absolutely brilliant service. Went out of their way to offer advice and to source the tiles which were needed. Very highly recommend.

My advice is Don’t listen to the guy behind the counter. I went in for advice & to purchase cleaning items. He will sell you anything for the sale. I went in, suggested the issue and before I even finished talking had scanned a item and tried to charge me. I asked again if he’s sure it will do the job and his reply was the price of the item. What a pleb. Go to another tile store, their is plenty around.

I went to Topps Tiles today with an idea of what I wanted for my bathroom and extension.I was served by Pete and I cannot tell you how brilliant he was regarding colour and interior design ideas. I came away with fantastic tiles, nothing like the ideas I’d gone in with!Thank you Pete for your knowledge, brilliant eye and endless patience.

After visiting the Tunstall stall we enquired on some expensive bathroom tiles .We told the sales person that we had a budget of £500 ,we proceeded to give the member of staff with a details drawing of the bathroom with all the sizes .He told us what we needed and with purchased the tiles at the budget price .After employing a professional tiler to fit the tiles and 3 days in of the fitting of them ,he asked me where the rest of the tiles are ,he advised me that we needed the same again to which I was in total shock .I had no choice as I had a half tiled bathroom to purchase another approx £500 worth of tiles which I could not really afford .I brought this up with the manager of the stall and she told me she was sorry and the member of staff was a trainee .This is totally not acceptable and I suggested that it was a sales ploy that they under estimate the tiles to increase sales which this did by 100%.The complaint was sent to the head office ,the reply I got back was a offer of 15% off your next purchase. What a poor offer to resolve my disappointment with the service provided .After talking to several clients of mine that purchase tiles from the stall will be looking at alternative outlets .Very very poor service

I visited this branch because of recommendations and previous good reviews. However, when enquiring about purchasing some wall tiles, a member of staff named 'Peter' was extremely condescending, and rushed me to make a decision on what tiles I wanted to purchase.. I felt under pressure, like Peter was after a hard sale. As Peter started to say I needed to make a choice on tiles immediately. Luckily the manager Stephen was sensible enough to say I could browse for products and did calm Peter down. I was with my family who felt uncomfortable because of Peter. It was a shame because Topps Tiles have a fantastic array of tiles. So ignoring the hard sale as a rogue incident. I decided to purchase some tiles. However Peter charged me £40 above what they should have been. Peter said the tile had come off sale. I was confused why is this happening? Is it because I did not choose Peter's initial tile? At this point my wife was very uncomfortable and had asked to go. Peter followed us with the tiles, and did not have the courtesy to help me with the boxes instead watching as I struggled to put the tiles in the car. When I did the calculations at another Topps tile branch (Newcastle Under Lyme) they were kind enough to confirm that I had been overcharged. The tile was still on sale. Therefore, I revisited Topps Tiles in Tunstall for a refund I purposefully went to Stephen the manager as I did not want to be intimidated by Peter again. However, Peter started shouting across the till when he was serving another customer. He was insistent that the tile I purchased had not gone through the computer correctly. So it wasn’t his fault. I regrettably asked if he could have double checked the price of the tile? At this point Peter was very aggressive saying that I was blind to the fact he was very busy. I should have been thankful I got a refund for what I was overcharged. I should leave the shop or else he would be more aggressive. I was stunned and I think Stephen the manager was too. I hope this does not happen to any other minority or vulnerable customer. I will be going to trading standards as I still have the receipts and transactions. I really hope before I do that I get a response from the owner.

Very professional service and took time to understand our needs and find a suitable solution. Even carried tiles to car for us! Made the experience quick and painless. Thank-you!

I wasn’t from the area and I was working in the area. I need tiles for my bathroom, I entered the store and saw a few tiles I liked. Saw an employee walking towards the exit maybe heading to lunch but he stopped and made me feel welcome and asked Exactly what he could help me with (Pete was his name ) . He then called over another employee by the name of Julie who gave me further assistance. She was very helpful and helped me choose and make my mind on the right tiles to suit my bathroom .Very helpful both Julie and PeteProfessional, respectful , welcomingExcellent customer service , Credit where due !

I am doing a shower room at home, cannot say I'm vastly experienced however, I was struggling for tile choices so after visiting other local tile stores ( where in essence I was ignored) I called into Topps Tiles Tunstall.The warm greating made me feel at ease, the offer of help and advice and then being allowed to browse was of comfort compared to ther places I'd been.I had a fair few questions being frank, the staff were more than helpful, Peter in particular was a diamond, virtually helping me with every choice, giving me informative advice on the tiles, tile cutter colour combinations. When there were not enough of the tiles I wanted in the same batch number I was told, no problem

We visited Topps Tiles in Tunstall today, as total novices at buying tiles we had no Idear on purchasing tiles. We spoke to Steve one of the assistants and he couldn't have been more helpful giving us advice on everything we purchased. I would highly recommend Topps Tiles. Incidentally we had visited Tile Mountain opposite first and they didn't want to know.
