Had a problem with the buzzer on my flats door entry system. Really had no idea who to call to fix it. Had a look around and noticed Edinburgh Intercom Repair Doctor so arranged for them to visit. Derek duly turned up on the day and identified the buzzer problem which he fixed pretty quickly. However my partner also asked him to have a look at the speaker phone outside the main door - has not worked for a long time. He identified that the speaker itself was archaic and had given up the ghost - we got him to repair that too. Absolutely delighted to have the whole system working again. Everything was explained clearly and without fuss. He fully tested his work to ensure that nothing he had done adversely affected any of the other flats in the stair. The costs charged were fair and reasonable. Derek also gave us some advice on a dodgy stair light on our landing and we will be getting him back to fix that too. Very pleased with everything Derek did, his technical ability, his honesty in assessing the work needed, the costs involved and the professsional way he carried the work out. If we need any further work of this nature then I will not bother looking any further than the Edinburgh Intercom Repair Doctor and Derek. Highly recommend him to anybody.

Derek responded to my enquiry quickly & managed to come out at a short notice. He talked me through & showed me where the damage was with the intercom system & was able to repair not only my buzzer but also replaced missing & broken buttons on the whole system making it easier for all visitors to my neighbours too. Derek also replaced my handset so the sound clarify is so much better & also has a new sleek look. Derek came round at short notice and fixed my old and no-longer-working entry phone handset with a brand new one. He was polite and chatty, and explained what he was doing as he went, and because I'm in the middle of decorating he showed me how to remove the handset so I can paper and paint underneath. Was all done in about 40 minutes. Brilliant service and great price too. Defo recommend.

Phoned derek about a block of flats all having intercom issues. Scheduled me for a couple days later when he fixed the issue within 5 mins at a reasonable price. Knows his stuff and is a nice guy, would 100% recommend.

Excellent service. Derrick was responsive with replying to my messages and arrived within the time window he gave me. Our job required various faults being mended for a combination of nine different flats; Derrick managed to mend them all within a 2.5 hour window. He’s obviously very knowledgeable about all manner of intercom systems, including Victorian tenement properties like ours. Prices were good value too. I will definitely contact Derrick for any future intercom issues in Edinburgh.

Derek arrived as scheduled and proceeded to fix the problem with our communal intercom system promptly. He popped back later the same day to fix an unrelated issue with an individual handset without additional charge. Very helpful and great service, would call again with any future issues!

Brilliant guy, one of the rare tradesmen to actually respond to a call or message, which put him head and shoulders above the rest. His actual service was great too, managed to fix and replace my very outdated and broken intercom phone with a new one.My only feedback would be to potentially offer more options of intercom as he only offered one standard phone (though I assume it may be because it's the only brand he's willing to endorse).
