Sidmouth Information Centre

When we visited we were helped by a really helpful man, he recommended the AVMT Buses 899 for us to use. The 899 is a fantastic bus route with some spectacular views.

Excellent choice of information either by leaflets or by staff. Great choice of easy to read tourist and travel info for the devon and surrounding areas. Staff have great local knowledge too

Seagulls.We have a caravan nearby and are and have been regular visitors to Sidmouth between March and October for the past 20years. We love the town. Last year we noticed that the Seagulls were becoming more aggressive and were continually swooping over people on the seafront. We visited last week and they were doing the same. The seagulls are quite large and are intimidating to elderly visitors We saw them take food from people eating both on the seafront and in the park. Everything seems to be covered in seagull droppings. I believe that they have become a serious problem and will impact upon the traders and businesses in Sidmouth unless some action is taken.Visiting Sidmouth is no longer a pleasurable experience for us, and I suspect that goes for a lot of people.

Sidmouth information centre provided the most comprehensive and illustrated town map, we have received anywhere, really commend, thank you.Our first visit in June,looking forward to our next in October.Thank youIngrid

Love this beach it's my favourite in Devon it streaches for miles and miles lovery golden sands water lovery and blue and there plenty of places to stay next to the beach the car park is huge it's a great place for surfing and dog frendly too

A welcoming little tourist information office that shares a modern building with a swimming pool and café. Lots of free information, maps, some good books and a few souvenirs. Lovely friendly lady who suggested a lot of things for me to see and do in Sidmouth, and recommended a very good book to me. I actually bought two, and she popped a free map and information brochure into the bag.

Lots of places to eat, great views and shops.

I love Sidmouth it's got lots to do shops & beach for relaxing

The information centre is now closed, probably due to council cost cutting, such a shame as the staff used to be very friendly and helpful
