A Bride's Joy

I called to book an appointment and managed to get one the very next day which I was very surprised at as they were having a sale day so i thought they would have been all booked up. So I was very happy that I managed to get an appointment.This was the first wedding dress shop I had been to and I was very nervous but the ladies were absolutely lovely. Helping me to get into the dresses and advising me on what alterations would need to be done. They were very patient with me.I fell in love with the first dress I tried on but for my mothers satisfaction I went on to try a few others to make sure I didn't prefer a different style. They had a good array of dresses for me to try on which I was surprised at as I'm a size 16/18 and didn't think they would have many dresses in my size. I tried the first dress on twice to then go on and buy it for the amazing price of £450 (half price). I was very pleased and they gave me the card of a local dress maker (who altered the dress) which saved me from having to find one.They are then going to also steam my dress free of charge for me before the wedding.Very happy with the service and very happy with my beautiful dress.

Couldn't praise Bride and Joy enough. I've had two appointments so far and the staff have all been super helpful and friendly. No pressure was put on me to purchase and they helped pick out styles and accessories to suit me. I would definitely recommend them.

Keira was so lovely, attentive and knowledgeable. She made you feel so comfortable when you were trying on dresses. She made my experience of trying on a wedding dress for the first time one to remember, thank you for your service and for letting me try your beautiful dresses!

Unfortunately didn't buy my dress from here as I found a dress that suited me better closer to home (Banbury, Oxon). The ladies in this shop were really helpful. They are very straight talking which I liked. I was a bit bewildered having never tried wedding dresses on before, and being unsure of the style I wanted. The two dresses that nearly made it were both under 1000 pounds. I did not feel rushed at any point. Thank you Emma and Sandra- and sorry I didn't buy my dress from you but I will be recommending you to my friends. Very good level of customer service.

Emma was helpful from day one. She listened to me and was honest about what suited me. I had several fittings and each time was fun and professional. I have my dream dress at a fair price and am so excited to wear it on Saturday. Thank you Bride and Joy- cannot recommend enough!

I visited this store yesterday and the ladies were just lovely. I tried on many dresses and they went out of their way to help me accessorise each of them. I was early on in my search and there was no pressure selling. I left with a shortlist of 3 lovely gowns all within my budget. Thanks ladies.

I called ahead to make the appointment and the lady I spoke to on the phone was very helpful and lovely. She let me know on the day her colleague would be at the shop for us.On arrival the lady welcomed us but that was about as nice as it got.The dresses were fine, the shop itself was smaller than I thought it would be and than the other 2 I had already been to.But the way the lady spoke to me and my sister was really insulting. I wear a high street size 16 so had been trying on dresses in other places in a size 18 fine.On arriving at the store she said there wasn't really many I could try on and was given 4 to try.She asked me what size dresses I had been trying and I said 18 she replied with oh really?!" In a really shocked way.She asked me if I wanted a dress that came out and was bigger (poofy) so I could hide myself.She repeatedly told me I'd left shopping too late and there wasn't anything they could do really. I hadn't herd this from either of the 2 stores I had been two in the last 24 hours.She also told me the shop down the road stocked dresses for bigger people and they stocked normal sizes and they didn't like to tread in their toes by stocking any big sizes.I was so shocked I didn't even say anything I just nodded along. My sister and I were in the shop around 15 mins and we were both so uncomfortable we just wanted to leave

Fabulous service, both ladies were lovely and patient and made the whole experience of choosing and purchasing my daughters wedding dress a lovely fun time. Highly recommended.
