Rotherham Hospital - Visitors Car Park

My Granddaughter (6months old) wasn’t very well and had been referred by her GP go to Hospital. This is 16:00. We arrived first task somewhere to park! The amount of vehicles half on the pavement parked on double red lines unbelievable. Luckily I found a parking bay, a pay and display, now need to find the machine. This was out of order! So, I’ve got a sick baby, an anxious mother and now the worry about am I going to get a parking ticket. We don’t visit Hospitals for a day out. We don’t visit Hospitals for fun. It’s quite clear that Rotherham Hospital has vehicle parking problems with double red lines anti parking barriers and the like and it’s only going to get worse. So why not build a multi story car park which can be done in stages . Half there (y) while people park in (x) then when “y” is completed “x” can be built on. I bet regardless of which hospital people visit, when they know they have to go their anxieties about parking goes up exponentially.BTW once inside the hospital we were dealt with quite reasonably thank you.

Bloody nightmare to park. Attendants still kept letting people in despite it being massively over filled. Lots of staff permits seen. They need more staff parking to visitors can actually park. This is not specific to Rotherham. All NHS trusts fail to adequately provide parking for the people running the actual hospital and this has a huge knock on effect for visitors

This car park is always busy and not very well organised. One way system is in operation.

Not a bad car park, very busy during the week not many spaces available due to a large amount of staff cars in there.cars are just dumped where there's a space available on grass verges it's like Mario Kart dodging the cars driving round.A massive difference on a weekend, you can park wherever you like without any hassleYou genuinely think there'd be a specific staff car park only or a decent park and ride system for staff to free up places for people visiting.

Absolutely terrible!! I'm truly disgusted that both patients and staff have to pay for parking. Even worse is that the parking isnt fit for purpose, it's not big enough and very poorly laid out.Sort it out Rotherham Hospital.

The carpark is OK if you can actually find a place to park, I couldn't it was a case of drive in look round and back out

This time we actually got a parking space so my husband was on hand if i needed him.

I have never had a problem with RGH. It is a welcoming entrance with a cafe and information stands. As for the medical side and admin staff I have always been well cared for here.

Busiest place on earth for random gridlocked 15min periods then, boom, where'd they all go! So weird. Must be visiting time peaks/troughs.Great to get 30min free pickup spots.Disabled access close to entrance.Lots of available wheelchairs under the bus-shelter areas.

I have a disability badge, so I don't have any problem in parking. The system has an automated recognition cameras that let me in and out easily. Excellent
