Burwoods Domestic Appliances

What a fantastic company this is. We have used them over the years we have lived in Bridport. Yesterday I rang them at 9am to explain our built in oven had finally died and we wanted a new oven. 25 hours later I have a new cooker fitted and you would not know anyone had been, no mess, no fuss. Amazing in the current lockdown situation.

I can totally recommend Burwoods, from ordering through to delivery. I researched the TV I wanted online. I called Burwoods who had the model in stock. They couldn’t match the price of a big online retailer and their buying power. But the £25 price difference was well worth the spend. I ordered it Monday afternoon and was delivered 8.15 am Tuesday. I was called to let me know they were on their way. The delivery was free and the delivery driver helped me unpack the tv, install the legs and lift it onto the stand. Due to current mobility issues I would have struggled to do this and was worried I might drop something so expensive. There is also the reassurance that if there was a problem with the tv, to give them a call and they would help. Instead of me having to courier it back to an online retailer. Or having to deal with a huge call centre. There was also the reassurance that the tv had not been handled by numerous parcel distribution warehouses and couriers. I would 100% recommend Burwoods and feel it’s a use it, or lose it situation. Instead of seeing businesses in our community close, then moan when they do. Thanks to everyone at Burwoods!!

My husband and i went to Burwoods today as we needed. A new tumble dryer and dishwasher. It was excellent customer service. Nothing was to much trouble he took his time with us. I will be recommending them to friends and family every time.Jackie and Ray Batten

After phoning to explain that our Neff microwave had stopped working and was displaying an error code they said I could bring it down for them to look at . After 2 weeks I had heard nothing from them , when I phoned to ask for an update I was told they would call back , no one ever did , after 3 weeks I phoned again , once again I was told someone would call me back , they never did. I then drove to the shop to see what was happening with my microwave, they had not even looked at it after having it for over 3 weeks. Not one phone call from them to apologise or to update me on the repairs. I then collected my microwave and have taken it elsewhere. I used to think Howard Burwood were really good but this was awful customer service , will definitely not be going to them again .

Having bought 5 appliances from Burwoods over the last 4 years including a New World cooker I thought it appropriate to advise them that the oven in the cooker had stopped working after tripping the mains electricity. OK, the cooker was 3.5 years old and out of warranty but even so would not expect it to fail within that time. The response from Burwoods was a 'so what' attitude expressing total lack of interest unless I wanted to pay them to fix the cooker. Needless to say I will never use or recommend them again, the cooker was fairly inadequate as well.

Excellent service, new washing machine delivered efficiently by friendly team. I always try to buy appliances from a local company and I am glad I found Burwoods so easy to deal with.

Went into shop yesterday afternoon,found what I wanted, it came this morning 8.30am fitted and old one taken away very good service

We chose a washing machine quickly and easily with the help of the knowledgable assistant. Amazingly it was delivered efficiently the next morning by the same person with an equally obliging fitter. From start to finish it was apositive and pleasant buying experience. Would not hesitate to recommend. Thank you.

A couple of months ago I bought a dishwasher from Burwoods. It was delivered after a couple of days and fitted for me. I was very impressed with the service so when my washing machine broke down I immediately went to Burwoods. I chose one and it was delivered and fitted the next day. I was shown how it all works, which was a great help. What fabulous service by friendly people! Don't go to Curry's or buy online - support your local business!

Amazing customer service by everyone at Burwoods. We have just moved into the area and desperately needed a new oven and fridge freezer. An e mail and a couple of phone calls later and in less than 36 hours we have booth installed. We are completely blown away by the wonderful service we have received,Thank you so much.
