Clare Roberts Pilates
I highly recommend Claire’s pilates studio. I took a taster session in mid 2022 and continued with classes after that. She took the time to ask questions and listen in each class, and helped me understand my body better and what I could do to feel stronger and reduce lower back ache i was experiencing. Her approach is highly bespoke and I found the benefits totally different to pilates in a class environment and more long lasting. Her classes helped give me the foundations both physical and in terms of knowledge to manage my wider lifestyle and exercise regime in a way that’s more mindful and focused on my own needs and goals

Clare Roberts Pilates
Since lockdown i have been having virtual 1-1 classes with Clare. These classes are a great substitute, giving me structure and something to look forward to in the week. I have found them rewarding and beneficial, both physically and mentally. Clare's cheerful approach to Pilates is reason enough to have any lesson, only downside, i don't get out of the house to have them!

In one line: stop worrying about it and book a trial lesson :)The longer version: I’ve been pretty healthy and active over the years, but increasingly long hours at a desk, day-to-day stresses and a foot injury lead to my back “going” twice this year to the point where I couldn’t even carry a bottle of water, let alone my laptop. After a few weeks of osteopathy (also, another thing I wish I’d started sooner) I wanted to try Pilates as a way to promote strength and prevent this pain ever happening again but I was apprehensive: would I exacerbate things? I delayed a few weeks longer but finally decided on a taster session, one-to-one, as I hoped tailored exercises would be a safer starting point than a generic class. Clare is intelligent, kind and knowledgeable and after 5 minutes in her company, I trusted her completely. Her studio is bright, clean, peaceful and airy. She started the taster with questions about my goals and issues; she tweaks and tailors the exercises each week based on my ongoing feedback. She sets entirely achievable “movement snack” homework, most of which I manage while waiting for the kettle to boil or brushing my teeth. After about 7 sessions (combined with osteopathy) I have reached a place I was worried I’d never see again: I’ve just returned from holiday, carrying a heavy rucksack and dragging a suitcase, where I played an hour of tennis every day with my children. At the risk of sounding evangelical, if your body is in pain, you don’t have to put up with it any more; you deserve to feel normal again, in fact, better than ever. I highly recommend Pilates with Clare Roberts and really can’t thank her enough. Pilates is now a loved and valued part of my life. Good luck!

Clare Roberts Pilates
I’m very glad I found Clare! She is so knowledgable about anatomy she gave me confidence from session #1. I’d had personal trainers that injured me (one size does not fit all!) and decided to try reformer pilates instead.At the start of each session Clare checks with me for any physicality concerns and builds that sessions to suit weather that be balance, or specific needs. Clare also provides me with a schedule of exercises to do at home to compliment our 121 sessions.She is thoughtful professional and a pleasure to train with - highly recommend!
