The university is run like a business more than an educational institution. Although learning does get done there is not that much support available. You are better of relying on your peers for help. They have some lecturers who say they do not believe in giving over 70% on marks. The registry always look annoyed when you try ask them for help or some information. The university can provide you your module grades in the registry you do not need to go else where and pay for them. The only thing I am grateful for is the people that I have met in this university.

Please don't waste your time on this place. I'm wasting money on something that hasn't changed my life in the slightest. I'm paying 9k and I'm not comfortable in emailing my tutor, I barely get feedback or emails. My friend on another course has been receiving nasty feedback and emails from his tutor whose supposed to know better. It's really upset them. The campus is not nice and the surroundings are awful. It looks neglected. I live near the uni and I don't like being out past dark. The uni and the environment is just so uninspiring. Please don't waste your time. All universities are a system but this place makes you feel like you're nothing.

The building is grim and poorly maintained. 2 of the lifts do not work and the toilets are dirty. There is no gym and the cafeteria food is unappetising. They don't give you any help for disabilities/learning difficulties (like ADHD/Asperger's/Dyslexia). Lots of rude staff and students, and the students are lazy and do not put any effort into group projects. I had to leave after year 1.Do not go to this university.

Worst university in the whole of the UK. You cannot get worse. Hence why they accept anyone with no prior qualifications. Utter scum who only care about money and extorting students

One of the great university at London with full of resources and lab supports. The teachers are friendly and easily approachable. However, the Student Union is such a great organisation as they keep arranging many more events to keep students engaged.

Semester 1 of studying here has been utterly uninspiring. But to be honest I was willing to give it the benefit of the doubt for a while - with covid and the like. However, the communication between lecturers and students is inconsistent at best. The oreintation week was an absolute joke. Some lecturers have been lovely but most have been utterly unempathetic. The disability and long term health conditions team is mostly great but the actual learning side has been mostly monotonous and sad. Hopefully I will have a better time as my first year progresses here but it's mostly been salt in the wound to an already dire situation. I have kept an open mind but I am regretting choosing this as my uni more and more as I spend time as a student here and transferring is certainly on the cards. The surrounding area of harrow is mostly depressing and the university itself doesn't come as much of a positive vibe to combat this. Don't expect it to go the way it is advertised - it's a completely inconsistent experience where the tutors are either lovely or take you for a complete fool. The only positives this semester have been being close to central london and meeting some lovely students from my course on the very rare occassion they'd allow us to meet with them (they said for creative courses we'd have one in person session a week at the minimum but this quickly was reduced to a shallow once a month). I'll update this review when I finish semester 2 and consider whether I'll be staying but my hopes aren't high. (FILM BA - student at harrow campus 2020/21)

I had to attend an IELTS English exam, which I booked over a month ago. During the registration, I submitted my national ID, as I had lost my passport at the time. A few days later my registration was confirmed, and I was given the following address: 101 New Cavendish Street, University of Westminster. At the day of the exam, I was in a rush, as I had to be there early 8:30 in the morning. I took my passport and headed to the University excited to take the test. When I arrived there, after waiting some time for registration, I was told that my Passport cannot be accepted, as that is not the document I used during registration. All they had was a piece of paper, which had to confirm the document number, the original document wasn't even needed to be scanned. I believe that my passport is a legitimate identification document and furthermore I had a scanned copy of my national ID, but on my mobile device, confirming the exact ID number they needed .... I was still not allowed in. I had my UK driving license and Passport with me; however, they couldn't confirm my identity and couldn't find a way to register me on the system or change the details... Furthermore, after explaining the situation over email, they rejected me once again and said that another date cannot be scheduled. I am extremely disappointed and will tell people to avoid taking IELTS and choose other tests & institution if possible. The reception staff member was extremely rude and unhelpful. Bad experience.
