Mill Farm Eco Barns

We had the enormous pleasure of staying in The Grain Barn in November 2023. It was absolutely fantastic and completely surpassed our expectations on all levels. The accommodation is beautiful and kept to a really high standard. Stunning upstairs living with unspoilt views for miles across farmland and a well fitted kitchen. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished with stunning bathrooms. The whole place is very well presented, very stylish and spotlessly clean - we felt like the first guests ever to stay there! It's a lovely spot, right near the coast. We walked it every day and were on the beach in 15mins. The beaches are beautiful with miles of walking. We also saw hundred of seals and their pups as it is breeding season. We were amazed to see flocks of geese flying over too, having just crossed the North sea on their migration routes. Hundreds landed in the fields in front of the barns. Our hosts were amazingly attentive and on hand if we needed anything. A HUGE benefit of this property is the EV charging which is so hard to find. It was wonderful to start each day with a full car battery! We will definitely be back.

I can't recommend Mill Farm enough. The location has views across open country, the barn conversion we stayed in (Grain Barn) was finished yo a very hight standard and you get a great sense of space.The local beach is a 10 min walk away with soft white sand, the pub and chip shop are on the way to and from the beach, and the delights of Great Yarmouth are just up the road. Don't rule Yarmouth out, it's a great day out if you have kids.Lastly, Emma and her family are super helpful and personable. They even posted me my jacket back!

Gorgeous accommodation, done up to a very high standard. We had everything we needed and the hosts could not have been more helpful or friendly. Beautiful part of the world. Highly recommend a stay at Mill Farm barns.

The Hay Barn was perfect for our weekend break; comfy beds, cosy inside with thoughtful touches and a warm welcome from Emma, who brought homemade goodies on arrival. All communication was excellent and the online guide before our arrival meant we didn’t have to scrabble around in emails looking for directions etc or carry out lots of research into an area we’d not visited before. Emma and Neil had kindly done that for us! Magnificent walks right on the doorstep with no need to get in a car. From the beach with seals and their pups to walking the Broads and having a pub lunch – it’s all here. And if the spotlessly clean accommodation and ideal location wasn’t enough, Emma and Neil do all they can to provide an environmentally friendly holiday. Absolutely 10/10 to the super helpful owners in this beautiful part of the world. Highly recommend staying here at any time of year and we very much look forward to returning.

The Threshing Barn was lovely, plenty of space for 2 families or 8 adults. Very spacious, warm, light, super clean and well equipped. Fantastic kitchen. Downstairs looked wheelchair accessible, with a wet room and there were paths and ramps outside too to the games barn-great ping pong and the veg patch-delicious fresh veg for you to pick.The welcome basket with excellent homemade cake, jam and bread, fresh juice and proper coffee etc was much appreciated. Lovely views of open skies from the bedrooms.You can walk to the beach and beautiful dunes and the Grey seals at Horsey were the highlight for us.Lots to do and see with the broads and the sea on the doorstep.Pub and small shop are walking distance.Hosts Emma and Neil are very friendly and helpful.

We had a very comfortable stay at Mill Farm Eco Barns and would highly recommend it. The location is lovely and there are attractive dog friendly walks from the door. Emma and Neil were great hosts and provided us with an amazing box of local treats including their own apple juice and biscuits to die for. There is a great pub with excellent food just down the road and beaches within easy walking distance. Everything was perfect for a really enjoyable staycation.

Fab place, great hosts, wonderful walks - definitely coming back.We’ve just returned from a week staying at the Grain Barn and it exceeded expectations. The property is beautiful with two lovely size bedrooms and a fantastic open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge. The upside down design is fantastic and makes the most of the views over the fields to the back and the sunsets and from the kitchen area you can see across the village to the dunes. The kitchen area is a joy to cook in and a great place to chat, prep and enjoy a drink together. It was just my wife, I and our dog that stayed so there was plenty of room. The Barn is so heat efficient that even though it snowed and never got above 5 degrees whilst we stayed we had to turn the radiators down to 1! The walks along the coast are stunning and for dog owners there is a bridle way just at the top of the farm that opens up into a loop to the dunes through farmland and tracks. Both the Nelson Heads and the Fisherman’s Return are worth a visit. Emma and Neil are great hosts and Emma’s fresh bread was a great accompaniment to our meals. Really looking forward to coming back!

We had a wonderful week away at the Grain Barn. The welcome gifts were extremely thoughtful (even accounting for dietary requirements!) and delicious. We felt at home and all agreed that the beds and pillows were the most comfortable we’ve ever experienced in a holiday property. We will most definitely be back. Thank you :)

Lovely, comfortable place to stay for a few days. It was especially nice to be able to walk to the village and beautiful beach, rather than needing the car every time. We stayed in Hay Barn with our toddler, although as it is quite small it probably would be better suited to a couple. There was just about enough to do considering there was a lot of rain and we were slightly out of season. Our toddler in particular loved Wroxham Barns and the chickens on the farm, and we loved How Hill. We didn't have any issues when staying as the guide provided was very comprehensive and helpful, but I was confident that Emma and Neil would have been very accommodating should we have needed anything.

The Hay Barn is delightful property and was perfect for the two of us and our 2 greyhounds.Neil & Emma made us very welcome with everything we could have needed for our stay.The barn is well equipped, the bed is very comfortable, really spacious shower. There is underfloor heating and a wood burning stove, which we did not need to use, although the weather was cold the barn is very cosy and comfortable. There are lots of good dog walks right on the doorstep.The website is comprehensive and provides a wealth of useful information via links, that all work correctly.We will certainly stay here next time we visit Winterton on Sea and would recommend the property to anybody.
